Did I ruin my harvest? w/pics

  1. I took some bad advice and pruned off all the fan leaves except for acoupl here and there and the more I look at her the more I feel like she could have definitely gone abit longer, should I just start my finale three day flush tomorrow with my GH flushing solution and chop her down? Or will the flowers still swell more giving my trichs alil more time to amber up?could use some good advice. Please and thank you.

  2. Fan leaves are a major part in the uptake of nutrients, light and air. Your plants will have a much harder time in doing this.less leaves the less it can uptake.from the looks of the pics you have a ways to go. I guess you could do one of three things. 1 you could chop it but I would not do that if I was you..2nd you can continue feeding schedule as usual but if so I would give it a million have lighter feed because without all the fan leaves it will uptake less and will uptake liquid at a much slower rate.3rd you could start flushing now or just give it water for the remainder of the cycle..depending on how long you have left I would just continue a feed regiment until you planned on flushing just know the plant might require much less water now that it has lost its fans..and yeah,it might lose some of the density it was going to obtain but is still worth carrying out to its entirety. The cannabis plant gains most of it's thc and density the last 2 weeks of its cycle..just carry on and learn from your mistake..some growers remove most of the fan leave the last week..it myself sometimes start removing then the last few days but that is only to make the task of trimming easier. Just my thoughts on the subject

just keep going with the regiment you were on,Lower nute concentration or just plain water but the plant will uptake much less liquid now...and yes it was not the best advise you were given to remove fan leaves more then a week prior to harvest.

  4. Went ahead and got myself a microscope so I don't have to ask folks when I should do major altercations like that again I'm gunna go ahead and take your advice tho and continue feeding with 50% strength antil I see some more amber then go ahead and flush with flushing solution in 2gallons of water every other day and alil molasses every night for a week or so leaving it in dark for the last three days, I'm hoping to get my temps low enough to see some purple so I'm going to drop my day time to ten hours pre total darkness I'm hopeing that week will give me enough temp drop in my tent my little ac isnt getting it lower then 63 on its own so ims bring in the frozen water bottles and ice cubes to.
Definitely going to learn from my mistakes this first run can't wait for round two!!

  5. Damn man why did you do that? Like the guy said above the fan leaves are the power plant of the plant.

  6. I know I know I was told they only had afew days left before flush I'm bumbed out but it is what it is hopefully they will swell alil more before my trichs are ready for flush

  7. Its only a waste if you dont learn from it. I doubt youll listen to any more outside opinions. She looks good though lol other then being naked.

  8. Some times you have to get a little sting to learn a lesson, she still looks like she has time to go I know trichs will tell you the real story, you should think about scrog next time it gives you a higher yield and you get you urge to clip leaves out when you prune under your canopy (the only time you should take a lot off a plant). For future reference leave your fan leaves on unless they are ready to fall off on there own only thing that should be removed are budsites that receive no light aka lollipopping to give you bigger up top but even doing that I still leave those sun leafs on. Think of it like this you didn't kill the plant at all doing that may increase your trichs a little thinking its under attack but all in all you'll have good bud to smoke maybe a little less of it but more importantly you learned.

  9. I did lolipop and scrog just took the trellis out cuz I need to flush in the bathtub, do any of u have any experience with ten hours light instead of twelve for the beginning of the last week of flush and 72hours darkness the last few days or so? Mainly looking to drop my temps for some purpel. Any ideas?

  10. Before I took out the trellis

What are the hairs like or better yet the trichs like? Yeah leave fans on as long as you can, they're the solar panels.

How long have you been flowering for anyway?

I grow scrog, there's zero need for a traditional flush unless you have a problem. Straight water the last 2 weeks is all that's needed. A properly scrogged plant doesn't come out of a net easily and there's no need too. I drop tempts during flower to bring out color, but just a few days is going to do nothing for color. I've done the darkness period at the end before harvest and personally haven't noticed any differences.

  13. Yeah I was told to harvest remember thats why I took my fan leaves and the trellis off for my final flush(straight water the last two weeks is flushing I thought?)

  14. ruin? no. I wouldn't do it to that extent again

  15. Do any of u guys have any tips for lower temps? I filled my tent up with frozen water bottles and ice cubes and still couldnt get my temps under 61

  16. Just a fyi dropping your temps below 60 degrees is going to slow down photosynthesis to a crawl considering you removed most of its sun leaves. This combo of sun leaf removal and cold temps will almost undoubtedly guarantee no more increase in yield. Just a word of advice if its not a purple dominant strain and you stick to your commitment of cooler temps you may see a little purpling on the buds but when you harvest and its dry you will hardly notice anything. Good luck happy growing

  17. yeah dude above me hit it spot on with the trait having to be in the strain and even then it has to be a purple pheno of that strian..but lowering day night temps for the last 2 to 3 weeks will usually bring out the purple hues if you have a purple pheno.. what purple phenos I have will either show there purple on there own or when my nights Temps hit below 65.. someone above also mentioned photosynthesis slowing down at lower Temps and I seam to agree with that as well.no need to see those 55 ranges if not necessary and it does more harm then good.and lowering Temps that low seam to only purple the leaves.if the strain has purple in its genetics, the calyx will purple on there own or with the slightest temperature drop towards the end of cycle. Mine take a good 2 weeks or they show it on there own at any time in bloom.and far as when to flush and how long?. That seams grower dependant and your nute line and feeding regiment play a big part as well.. organic(or mostly organic)usually requires less flushing if at all in some people's eyes.ive also seen 21 to 28 day flushes with a growers hydro grows..really all depends on what you feel is good for the plant and the consumer. I run mostly organic in soilless media and 7 to 14 days seams to do the trick for how much I feed during its cycle and I push it to the limits at times..just make sure she is free of excess nutes, salts ,etc..unless you believe in the old school leaf tasting test there is really only so many ways to find that out..hope all goes well. I'm sure it will.
