Hello! I've been trolling this forum for awhile, trying to learn as much as i can in preparation for my first grow I decided to go with autos for my first grow just because they sound a little easier for a noob. My set up at this point includes: secret jardin dark street v2.5 3'x3'x5' grow tent california light works solarflare 220w led phresh filter 4"x12" 200cfm active air 4" in-line fan 165cfm w/ ducting etc. 2- 5 gallon dwc buckets w/ all the pumps air stones etc. I live in an apartment and may or may not live in a less enlightened part of the country so as a result secrecy is a must. so i also purchased a 5in1 air purifier w/ uv-c, ionizer, pco filtration, and ozone http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NMQC1BU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it seems everyone has their own favorite nutes so i just went with general hydroponics flora series. Im also using general hydroponics products for ph control i have a humidity/temperature monitor, 6" clip-on oscillating fan, digital ph meter. i bought some beans from herbies- 1 advanced biodiesel mass auto 1 royal queen bubble kush auto 3 emerald triangle bubba cheese auto My question is which is the best method for sprouting my little baby girls? Do i germinate my babies in some rockwool start plugs or rapid rooter plugs and then move it into my dwc set up or...? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. -K

I put my seeds in between 2 damp papers towels, in a dark place. Just make sure you check the paper towels every 12-16 hours to make sure they are not dry. <-- only part of my current grow that I did that is not completely ghetto
thanks for the replies, the help is appreciated. i spent alot of time looking at your grow journal last night. thanks btw it was very informative. but its making me rethink my original plan. im thinking that my tent may be too short for 5 gallon buckets. if i keep my light 12" off my baby it will only give me 2' maybe 2 1/2 feet of acutal grow room (height). im more than willing to try lst but im now im thinking i should just do a soil grow in shorter pots (at least shorter than a 5 gallon bucket). thoughts? lol. and no that isnt me. im not that sexy
Yours is the one with separated cab at bottom for clones right? Yes 5 gal is too big. Do 4 two gals or 3 3 gals.
