re-potting and humidity question

  1. So i will soon be growing an autoflower strain in coco+perlite.

I was wondering if it is important to plant the seeds in a small pot first and then re-pot or if i can just go ahead and plant directly in my 3gal pots?

If i can just plant the seeds directly in 3gal pots can i put a clear plastic cup, with a hole in the bottom, upside down on top of my coco to create a greenhouse effect which will keep the humidity high?

  2. People do it both ways, each is proven to be just fine, as long as other more important factors are well taken care of.

Yes, you can use a plastic cup to up the humidity if you like. Be sure to remove it now and then for a few minutes to air out the leaves once (she) sprouts. Mold is not your friend, and the plant also wants the CO2 from the surrounding air, as a human would need the oxygen from air outside of a bag over it's head :p

    Carry on.

  3. Or you can just buy a humidifier :)
