Is this a joke? The east coast can't even come remotely to the west coast. Not a chance. How could a coast full of $20 .7 "grams" that can land you in jail come close to a coast of 2 legal states (Oregon and Washington) and cali. Not hating or trying to come off as a dick, but really west coast leads the way all day. We have the leading glass blowers all over the west. No offense (or a lot, I don't care) but Fuck the east coast (not the people, the overpriced pot community)

This Thread is about glass? Anyways, I'm sure the east coast has decent glass blowers, but I'm also sure the west coast has much more, and easier to make a living from it. We have glass blowing classes in community colleges... at least in cali. Some of the best hitting bongs I've ever hit, are Sov and mobius, both california companies. I'm so glad I live like 10 minutes from aqualab.

The main problem is that most of the good glass blowers from the east coast move out west to oregon/colorado. oregon is where functional pipe art making had its start so obviously its the mecca of glass blowing. And now colorado leading the way in the marijuana community has caused a huge boom in glass blowers in that area/move to that area. But if you want to talk more than scientific prodo glass then there are good glass blowers all over the country.

Ok pot prices aside (im purely basing my info off blades on here, so clearly some ppl are getting fucked), no way in hell glass blowers on the east compare to the west. Plain and simple Ok I'll rephrase that. I'm sure there are great blowers on the east coast, but all the revolutionary and long time famous blowers got to where they are at on the west coast. I can't even list all of the people, both famous and not, that have been all over the country and have said they prefer Oregon glass to anywhere else. I mean shit, have you seen the Portland glass scene? it's simply insane.

This is a piece from a local glass blower here in Asheville North Carolina. We have a pretty great ganja, glass, and beer scene here so this is just the tip of the iceburg; for those of you who aren't aware of what Asheville is like we get called things like Lil' Portland or San Fransisco of the East. We just had the largest head shop in the Southeast open up here in town and now we are getting lots of high quality glass coming in from blowers on both coasts and frankly I can't tell the difference between the high end pieces from each coast. SYN bongs from NC are amazing btw. Anyways, this is from a local artist who goes by 'burner.' I got this a few years ago when he was just starting out so it isn't his best piece but the stuff I have been seeing around stores lately is on par with some of the bigger name blowers. The attachment is just a cheap (and now broken) Chinese glass piece.
There may be more blowers on the west coast but there is definitely a lot of talent on the east coast. Thats like saying theres no way you can grow as good of weed in florida as you can cali.
