  1. Hi there im in my 3rd grow.

    Growing Pineapple Chunk from seed

transplanted 3 times, always been in John Innes added compost.

Alive since 4th of February, flowering since 5th march. (Almost 3 weeks flowering)

Never used nutrients until yesterday, each plant got 1ml of Biobizz Veg+ Bloom.

I have never PH'd the water till yesterday,  I've been feeding tap water at 7.1ph.
Yesterday with the nutes the PH is 6.5 going in  about 3 litres in each plant, plant pot is about 25litre.

PH 5.7 going out. What gives?...

On the older leaves its always been like this, very slowly. I've been trimming them off. Other plant this isn't happening

  2. When's the last time it's been flushed? 5.7 is to low, I am also having ph issues/ similar leaf issues. Having tried everything else I have flushed multiple times and it seems to be fixing it.

I've also flushed run off to 6.5 then added half nute ph'd to 8 and ended up with ph of 5 runoff.

I'm still a novice so I could be wrong.

  3. Hi

I've been reading a few other threads with similar problems, and people usually trying cal mag and not getting anywhere.

Do you think it is possible to add dolomite lime (powder) to soil while flushing to help raise ph with tap water? I think that's what I'm going to do.

Since I only just recently watered do you think I should wait till it's fully dry before flushing?

I'm going to make up a pot of this soil today and test the run off, it isn't stated on the pack but I think it must have 6-12 weeks of nutes. Not sure :/

    Will report back with findings

  4. Did this start after you fed for the first time?

  5. This has been before I fed for the first time, since maybe 2 weeks old feeding via plain 7.1ph water, now 7 weeks old and had their first feeding.

Not looking better today. New growth still growing, older leaves dying

PH run off of a new pot of soil is 6.5, although the water pretty much ran straight through it. going to leave in tent for a few days re-water and test again.

The soil has nutrients as stated for 5 weeks.

I've got some run off water from 2 days ago when I fed them, its been in a cup in the tent evaporating (white edges of cup) that is now reading PH 7.... but that means nothing now since its been evaporating.

    SO....

from here I'm going to take a DSLR photo close up, lights off. Tomorrow I will come back, compare. If no improvement, I will flush one of them with PH 7 water, I may or may not add dolomite lime powder while flushing. Not decided.

  6. if the ph is low I would def top dress with powdered dolomite and rub into the tops inch or so of your soil then water as normal with your ph neutral water. I run into this occasionally with peat based soil mixes.

  7. This soil is actually 50% peat, I'll do what you said

  8. Added powdered lime, about 2 fist/hand grab to each pot.

    PH run off 6.2

Looks good to me, lets see if I get some differences..

Other updates, still growing taller, bud sites appearing, still yellowing. Expecting 5-8 weeks due time.

It's not been too good. Slowed down... Fed water, then nutes lightly yesterday for a run off of 5.9 with 6.5ph nute solution being fed.

Next will do plain water. The buds are fattening up, estimate 1-15 th may they need to live till. image.jpg image.jpg

  10. hmmm it is tougher to bring your ph up by top dressing rather than already adding it in your soil mix. Why feed with a 6.5 ph? That seems low for a plant in soil, especially since your ph is already low.

  11. Indeed.

6.5 is automatically adjusted from adding biobizz nutes to 7.1ph water

Didn't want to futher adjust it... Don't really have anything to raise the ph of the water , do you reccomend anything ?

  12. This really isn't my forte, as I haven't checked/adjusted ph in a long time(except adding lime to my soil mix or top dressing with it)
But I assume some regular old ph up or dissolving some lime in the solution would suffice. Personally I'd let the nutrient solution set for a bit to get the most accurate reading.

  13. Nothing much has changed, other than getting worse!

No nutrients fed, just consistent yellowing, I will post pictures when I get them, but no growth ion 2-3 weeks at all. I've only got 2 weeks left until 8 1/2 weeks of flowering. Water uptake is almost non existent. Will feed nutrients on next feed, but I think that will be it until harvest.

Next time will choose a better soil. Lesson  learned.

Pictures will follow in several hours.

Stunted growth, as can be seen the main stem is not even a finger in circumference.
and yellowing. Sorry for HPS pics.

I'm going to keep an update till I see this through.

  15. use less nitrogen next time and more perlite

ur gals are GROWING man gj
