hey went to check on my girl today and the leaves have started to dry out and have brown spots appeared on them just wondered if anybody knew what would cause this sorry bout the poor pic will take better when lights are off
Looks like the roots aren't getting enough oxygen. Looks like the over all nutrient strength is too high, and that causes the nutrient element ratios to get out of balance. The damage to the fan leaves could be from pH shift or nutrient imbalance (micro nutrient deficiency due to too much of certain elements rather than a lack of the deficient element(s).
Agreed that more info is needed as stated above to get a better idea of whats up to hopefully turn them around Are the spots a rust color? That could be calcium def/lockout could be a number of things, ph? The eagle clawing near the top could be nitrogen toxicity? Ppm? http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1329219-My-2Nd-Real-Grow-Attempt%2C-W--Pics%21-Bubble-Cloner-clone-Machine%2C-Dwc
the res temp a don't know the pH is 6 ppm don't know either yeah the spots are a rust color was using ionic grow at half strength at first and they were fine then filled the tank up last wk with full strength then they started going the like its a 1.2x1.2 grow tent under 400w dual spec bulb its warm inside it the tent like really warm don't know if that's got anything to do with not sure what other info u nd still new ere
I had the same issue on some of my lower fans. Added some cal mag and it stopped the problem from spreading. It does look like you are over feeding or something is locked out. Need more info though, get a water probe from any aquarium section they are $10 or less. Water temp is important, what size airpump? How many airstones? Humidity? Temp? All those things you need to know to diagnose your problems. I'm on my first grow and having as much information about what's going on in your room is super helpful in my opinion. You can quickly deduce what may or may not be causing you problems.
I got little stick on thermometers at the hydro store for $2 ea. they are really helping me in fine tuning my plant's environment. If your environment is warm then almost for sure your res will be warm too and thats bad. How's your ventilation? A ppm meter is a MUST If I was in your situation I would start over with fresh water at 1/2 strength (whatever worked last) and ph to 5.8, then get a cheap $10 ppm meter on ebay and follow gg guide on feeding in hydro, its stickied at the top of this section http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1329219-My-2Nd-Real-Grow-Attempt%2C-W--Pics%21-Bubble-Cloner-clone-Machine%2C-Dwc
cheers for the help man this is my 5th grow and neva had this prob b4 its a nft tank gt424 with maxijet320 pump airstones? got 4in inline with carbon filter for ventilation no intake tho think am going to empty tank and put fresh water in as u said man the new grow doesn't have any spots on them but sum1 said to me cud water drop that brunt as a sprayed them with water when they started to look dry
well I have changed the water in the tank pH is fine only half strength again but don't seem to b showin signs if improvement think am gona nd to scrap them
