I'm a noobie with vaping. Are dry herb vapes supposed to make a bunch of vapor? Is the coil supposed to get red really fast?

  2. Check this out (http://vaporpedia.com/wiki/Introduction_to_Vaporizing). The amount of vapor produced is based on the coil size, temperature, and amount of herb placed in your vape.

  3.
A lot depends on your vaporizer. But, as far as the 'bunch of vapor' goes, not really. A lot of times when you see these big vapor clouds you're looking at people using e-cigarettes with a ton of what's basically water vapor. Dry herb does give off some vapor, and it all depends on the dry herb and the temperature. If you can taste it, its working. You shouldn't judge the vaporizer, herb, or your high based on how vapor you see or don't see.

  4. I beg to differ. I have 7 vaporizers and all are capable of producing thick clouds of vapor.

  5.
Some of the best vaporizers on the market do not use a coil.

  6. Yes  and/or no, it depends on the vape, the user and the product going into the vape. If you could be a bit more specific about the details you will probably get better answerers. Stating what vape you are using is a good place to start.

  7. lol what coil??? That's what they have in g pens and all that crap.

  8.
You could say that the FireFly uses a coil of sorts, eh?

  9. does it? I always thought it was more of a heating element

  11. most ecig type devices don't vaporize but burn. The only way to actually vaporize is getting a desktop vaporizer, theyre the most dependable, and they actually vaporize 100% of the time. if the coil gets too hot when touching your herb, it will burn it, not vaporize it.

  12. Wee cig wee-c it's a pen style
Pretty Shitty got it used for 40
Is the haze a good vape?

E cigs and true herb vaporizers work very differently. Think of a dry herb vaporizer like a oven or a chamber holding marijuana with a airpath under it. The coil or heating element will heat incoming air in the air path only or heat the oven only or both. Vapor is nearly invisible depending on temp used. Meaning higher temp will allow you to see the vapor more as you get closer to combustion temps.

The reason ecigs produce very visible vapor is because the liquid is in direct contact with a coil that gets blood red combustion hot. They also contain VG (vegetable glycerin)/PG (propylene glycol) making the vapor appear much like smoke. It also keeps it from burning turn your vape up high all the way it will burn. You will taste it after a bit of use on max and be smoking the wicking material at some point.

To many pen style and other style dry herb vaporizers claim the vape dry herb but combust it just like a lighter would. If you really want to try vaping marijuana to see if you like it & not bust the bank. I would try a flowermate v5.0s it is very newbie friendly least learning curve kinda idiot proof cost is low. Can be had for 89.95 us$ the MFLB is a option also but works very differently & has no temp settings or fail safe cut off meaning it could reach combustion. If used outside what the instructions state in short bit more of a learning curve.

  14. The haze is good & gives option to do more then dry herb but that price tag holy hell...

  15. it's only 211 on piu?

  16. Not that thats a bad price but for someone just looking for 1st vape thats a hell of a investment if I was going that far. I would just go all the way & get a sublimator. I guess my point is you don't have to spend that much for a good vaporizer.

  17. Thanks for help guys

That is absolutely not true.   There are at least 20 portable vaporizers that are very dependable and they vaporize very well.

While it's true that 99% of the vape pens out there do not actually vaporize dry herbs, there are many, many portables that are not vape pens.

  19. I did not catch that ^ Your absolutely right Iwien. Why do people make such wild claims with no basis in fact ? Portable vaporizers can & do vaporize 100% of the time if it's a quality unit & constructed properly. I agree 100% on your statement about pens. Maybe the 2 types are the only experience the poster has had a experience with. Meaning a pen style portable vaporizer & desktop unit. That would explain a lot as to why they put all portable vaporizers in the category they did. God pens give such a bad name to portable vaporizers leading to experiences & statements like that.
