So I work at a fucking oil change shop, not a food place, not an upscale hotel, an oil change shop! These mother fuckers want me to cut my hair, and beard. My hair does not even touch my shoulders. I'm pretty sure they will eventually try to fire me if I fight them on this. But I feel like this is an injustice for me for to have my hairstyle dictated.i just wanted to vent I guess
They can't dictate your hairstyle if you don't work for them. It's a job and you are allowed to find a different one.
some company policies require you be clean shaven with a clean haircut. shows that your team is professional and maintains that level in front of customers. if you cant maintain simple hygeine, even when its required to keep a job, dont even bother showing your face around there. your not benefiting them or yourself. now imagine your the manager and two dudes with similar experience and intellect levels show up for interviews....would u hire the dude with a neckbeard and greasy longhair or the dude that cleans up?
