Right GC , the way I grow I call it a Scrog but it's diffrent to the way most people Scrog .i veg 4- 6 plants for 3-4 weeks. I have a net about 15-20 inches off the top of the pots . I flip to 12/12 when the plant tops hit the net and let the strech do the filling in . I tuck branches under the net for first week of 12/12 , then for the second week I use cable ties to tie them back as they become easily snapable . Keep tieing back till bout start of week 3 12/12 . Then let them do there thing . I've had good results growing this way for a while now . Quick veg and good yeild Would you call it a Scrog?
heres some pics, these were vegged for jus under 4 weeks. View attachment 153472 View attachment 153430 if nobody answers am jus gonna call it ,THE LAZY MANS SCROG
to clarify.. you'd want your branches more horizontal than vertical. otherwise you wind up with a screen to help hold your buds up like a skeletal system almost.. not that there's anything wrong with that as your pictures clearly show.
I might try a proper Scrog an see if I like it more , but this way jus seems simple. I would imagine you would need a longer veg in a real scrog
yup, less plant more veg. you did nothing incorrectly.. you have a screen full of buds and ain't nothing wrong w/ that lol.
this is a single plant one i did last run.. 25 gal pot. 4x3 screen. even that one could be more horizontal than it is, but i flipped the switch to 12/12 too early and it stacked up a little. View attachment 149926 View attachment 149927
that's grapefruit badass from IRG genetics. http://www.naturesgreenremedies.com/companies/ice-river-genetics/ (use "ice" in the promo code for a discount) grown in soil..
More like support netting, but not really scrog netting. All that's doing is letting the plant grow straight threw as opposed to growing it horizontal. Yes it would take longer to properly scrog, but the yield per plant makes up for it. More bud sites in direct light, even tops for better light distribution, I love a good scrog You're grow looks great none the less
That's not a scrog at all. What you did was use the net for support while keeping an even canopy. That actually has a name, I've heard that style's name before but I can't remember. Either way, your canopy is nice and even. You achieved an upside down pyramid shape. And the nets full of flowers. Good job!
