Hey guys, I just bought an Eagle Eye Honeycomb rig/waterpipe with a free Grav Labs 14m bowl with down injector

However I have a few questions. I've had it for 2 days now and I'm starting to notice little bubbles and "seams" (for lack of a better word). Nothing affecting the functionality of the piece, just cosmetic. But my concern is that this is something that I am creating from applying too much heat to the bowl and rinsing it out with the faucet in my tub. Is there any way over heating or too much water pressure can cause these blemishes to occur or did it most likely come out of the glassworks like this? Might be a stupid question, but I just want to make sure I'm not putting any extra stress on my glass. Dropped damn near a whole paycheck on this guy, totally worth it, just wanna make sure this is not something that will become worse or serious over time.

So in short; are these little blemishes normal, or not? If not, how serious is it?

    Pics -
The first two are of the "seam" I am noticing. It's very hard to catch, but pay attention to the way the flash reflects on the glass - there is a tiny 'dip' inside the red highlighted area

These next few are of the air bubbles I noticed on the outside of the honeycomb perc. I believe a small number of these are surface bubbles, as they have a slightly tactile feeling to them in some small places.

  2. It's glass. Whatever condition it's in is how it was when it was made.

  3. i went and looked mine over and don't see anything like that except for those dab bubbler i have that is all colored swirly glass. it has a few areas with some of those tiny bubbles. it was going strong for a long time until i dropped it. aside from that no issues.

you did just get it so maybe you call and talk to someone and see if they will swap it out for something else with zero deformations? i don't think that is being unreasonable at all. because if i dropped money like that down on a piece i would want it too be in the best possible condition as i am sure you would too!

aside from that she looks sweet. i love that new glass feeling of well, new glass [IMG]
