  1. Did a search and not a single topic on this game. Just bought it for PS3 a few days ago. Never played Far Cry before, but this game is fucking great, even on last gen. Only played about 7 hours so far but I ove this game. The landscape is beautiful. The economy system is great. The villain is a standout character as well.

Plus in how many other games do you get to fight tigers and rhinos?

  2. All i play at the moment

  3. i have it for ps4. i love it.

i have 30 hours of play time logged, only around 42% of the story completed.

its pretty massive and fun. worth the money IMO.

  4. Played the game for days on end. The best parts for me were taking out the camps undetected [for the unlmtd. sprint skill] and then trying to solo all the fortresses. Pagan mins is a breeze if you just snipe from the cave and then RPG the helis at the end :p
Still trying to finish up all the mask finds and such tho, some are such a b*tch to find ugh :-/

  5. Yeah man, the map is huge. I have played for 10 hours so far and have only liberated 2 towers and 2 camps.

I gotta admit though...even though hunting is fine, there is a part of me that feels like a piece of shit slaughtering endangered animals like rhinos, Tigers, and dholes in droves.

I like the skill trees so far. Got a lot of skills to unlock left too. For anyone who is farther along than me...is there enough xp to max out both skill trees? Or do you have to get choosey?

  6.
Yeah there's enough experience, i've maxed out them all and im still gettin xp haha

  7. after about 30 hours of gameplay and about 42% completion, i have the majority of my skill trees filled out. but i still have about 8 to unlock to get them all.

certain skills cant be unlocked until you play a certain mission. i havent played the missions it says yet, and i have no idea at what point in the game those missions will pop up.

i would suggest focusing on the skills that help your health and help you in combat like reloading faster, or improved takedowns.

also crafting better holsters and shit is pretty important to do early on. it sucks doing some of the harder missions with only 1 or 2 weapons.  most missions i end up using all of my weapons. i usually carry a sniper, auto cross bow, shotgun and an assault rifle on me at a time.

the auto cross is probably the coolest weapon the game. its completely stealth, has way better range than you'd expect, it can kill enemies in one shot, and it fires basically as fast as an automatic gun. pretty good reload time too. i would deff recommend the auto cross to anyone who likes being stealth.

  8. Haven't gotten the auto cross yet. Looking forward to it. I am wondering how many more weapons will eventually show up in the stores that I can't see right now.

I wanted to finish upgrading my backpack but I have a pre-requisite mission to do and I don't know how soon that will pop up. But I am constantly having to go back to town and sell shit. I pick up everything.

Borderlands has been the only FPS I have enjoyed for a long time, but this game is great. People absolutely love to talk shit about Ubisoft but I think they really are a fantastic group of developers. So glad I picked this one up. And I got it for $40 too!

  9. i just love the little shit you can do. you can literally play the game for 2 hours and not do a single campaign mission. the random enemies and animals that always pop up keeps the game fresh and exciting. and its fun taking over enemy outposts n shit.

i cannot wait for the next red dead redemption to come out. omg its going to be insane for ps4.

  10. I agree with everything you just said. I played for about 4 hours the other day and did no missions.

  11. I don't mind the tigers but Rhinos I haven't done that yet ..?  lol

  12.
Ah man Far cry is so fun just because of the hilarious emergent gameplay.

Like I'm assaulting a fortress, they have a rhino in a cage, so I free it, and the local goons are screaming "RHINNOOOOOOOOOO!" as it clobbers them.

  13. Pretty enjoyable game. Nice to know that Ubisoft isn't all bad all the time.
Unity was a pretty embarrassing failure, Farcry 4 did a lot better than I expected.

  14. Well it is far cry 3.5 so its hard to drop the ball on that.

  15. Ubisoft has managed to ruin their PC gaming community with that UPlay shit.. I don't play any ubisoft games anymore.

  16. It was definitely a little safe design wise. But the story is better, the main character is way more likeable, and they made the gameplay more challenging and varied.

I didnt like the ending much, and I didnt like how alll Mins lieutenants were basically irrelevant and died in random confusing ways. They made Buck look like a good character in comparison.

I loved how they brought Hurk back tho, so hilarious Xd

  17. Honestly, bought the game for 35 on psn store with a sale and its still not worth it.
Basically, Far cry 4 is a doodoo version of far cry 3.

  18. I did what I always do in these types of games. I have already finished all my item crafting at 39%, so there is no reason for me to go out hunting anymore, which is a pretty fun part of the game. And no reason for money because I already finished upgrading my homestead. They should have made stuff more expensive. I haven't even gotten to the north yet and I have already bought everything and only have 8 more skills to buy.

Game is still fuckin fun though.
