  1. Wut? I don't get your point.

  2. The whole new set of rules will be corporatization in favor of certain groups who will monopolize it if we don;t get money out of politics ASAP..

  3. Don't worry. Things are peachy in fantasy land.

  4. Haha I love people that think medical marijuana was gonna last forever. Come on guys let's be honest, it was all a show so we could legalize it. There was never supposed to be any "medical marijuana" but it was a good start for legalization. They had medical booze during prohibition too, then everyone grew up and moved forward. Blah blah blah tax rates and it's so expensive recreationally. If you're a working mature adult, none of those stupid details matter. Good post but stop trying to overdo how against legalization you are, it's pretty annoying.

  5. To be fair, alcohol does have a good deal of medicinal value when used properly, but when used irresponsibly becomes a life ruining poison. Cannabis is the same, though admittedly has more medical value and less destructive value than alcohol.

Cannabis has a ton of medical value, and even though getting high is the funniest thing in the world, those same chemicals that make you high are also the best treatment for a lot of ailments. And everyone should be able to have access to whatever medicine is best for their specific ailment. So the medical argument was more than a valid way to get a foot in the door.

Hell, the same could even be done with tobacco. It kills millions of people a year but it does actually have legitimate medicinal value.

well naturopathic medicine is being kicked to the curb in America by man made synthetic lab medicine derived from natural plant sources synthesized for mans (we know how to make shit better than nature) glory so do not expect plant based medicine to be viable in America or sponsored anywhere as reputable medicine. In our (we pre know everything before doing it society)  It really does not matter if it works as a medicine all that matters is what everyone thinks about plant medicine before even using plants as medicine. with more people being OK with more plant medicines then it will be a naturally occurring remedy to medicate with plant based medicine.
Oh, cannabis has more active molecular compounds in it than any other plant so yeah- that pant makes for the best medicine, just have to get the thc to cbd ratio correct and in balance

  7. I am all for legalization if done the right way.
Bring me a bill like DC and I would vote for it in an instant.
I will however keep voting no on bills like Co and Wa.

You know what is pretty annoying. Just give them more tax dollars so we can make it legal.
We give them billions of dollars each year and yet some how they still fuck it so why should we give them more money just to legally do something that i have been doing legally for 15 years already. Dc seems to havent figures out. Why can't the rest.

In a country where people are sitting behind bars over weed, I don't think we're really in a position to be picky about how it's legalized.  It just matters that it's legalized.  Recreational/Medical tax rates probably doesn't mean much to the 600,000 some-odd people who get arrested for possession each year.  We should stop the War On Drugs (or more specifically, the war on us) first, then work on crossing the t's and dotting the i's later.  Legalization is going to be a long process that everybody is going to have to kind of learn and work on over time.  I never expected anybody to get it right from the beginning, but at least we're seeing a beginning.

  9. The all or nothing strategy for legalization will not work. Look at Washington. They voted for a no home grow legalization law and now they all ready have a bill to allow home grows. None of these laws are written in stone. All of them can be amended, or struck down. Prohibitionist want to keep freedom tightly locked and controlled behind closed doors. We have to continually find a way to get our foot in. And that will be painful at times. Four states and DC with legal weed. Fuck man, we've come a long way with a long way to go.
