Working As a MMJ Delivery Driver

Discussion in 'Marijuana Business and Industry' started by Daniellie, Mar 16, 2015.

  1. I am considering changing jobs, and I was offered a position making deliveries for a dispensary about a month ago. My husband is concerned with the safety aspect of it, not just from potentially sketchy patients but perfect strangers walking down the street as well. Anyone currently driving that could share some insight and whether or not they'd recommend this as a job for a 27 year old female?

  2. I'd be curious to know as well. I'm moving to CA in two weeks for my dream job. However I wouldn't say no a few years down the road to working in the mmj industry either.

  3. Information on it is scarce online, unless I'm not looking in the right place. Unfortunately because I live in SoCal trying to Google anything regarding medical marijuana delivery ultimately just brings up a million services that deliver, not any real actual information on driving as a job.
I'm also wondering if working in the mmj industry could potentially affect me later on down the road should I want a different job, or move to another state without mmj.

  4. The question you need to ask yourself is the job worth the risk? Are you making killer money that you can't make anywhere else? Are the perks amazing? It's going to be like driving a pharmacy van hoping not to get attacked by a pill junky. The difference in your job would be I doubt they would be advertising that you are a delivery service on your vehicle, so essentially no one will know what your doing. I'd say no if it was a big green van with weed leaves all over Lmao

  5. I actually am a female and drive for a well known weed delivery service. As far as my experience goes, it's important to listen to your instincts. I used to call the patients when i received their orders just so they knew to expect a female. I would stay in my car for the most part, and ask them to come to me. Most people were really polite. I stopped driving because at $16 an hour, it wasn't enough to cover my gas for a 6hr shift.

I've never done delivery but I've known guys who've done it, and usually you get a wage plus part of gas covered at least. Especially if you were using your own vehicle.

This is some useful info. I've seen how the business works and can say female delivery drivers simply carry out orders to horny men who want these women to enter their home (dangerous and scary). They love ordering the same things on the same days to hopefully get the same female. They can get touchy and feely. I understand the basics for females budtending/delivering in that their tits and face are all that matter to their employers and customers (I hate the sick bastards for posting wanting beautiful females for their looks). I heavily recommend not doing it just because of the position. I would be growing the medicine if I needed money and a job, honey. But a job is a job after all. Just make sure you have a good mpg car if you decide to do this. 30+ mpg is the only way with a car!
