I have a cockapoo (a poodle mix) he's about 15 years old and today I noticed he's been getting sicker i'm starting to get really scared and upset. He was fine on Thursday and maybe Friday, but between Saturday and today he looks like he's been slowing down and showing strange behavior. Like sometimes he just stands in the middle of the yard when he does his business and I have to go and pick him up to carry him in the house. He's been sleeping a lot these past 2 days and he hardly eats, but sometimes gets up to drink water but not really. His nose is dry and his eyes are a little bit faint but he's still alert. I've also noticed he's been peeing a lot and uncontrollably with bad order to his urine for about a month and a half. I looked up his condition on the web and discovered he might have kidney or a urinary infection. I'm gonna try and take him to the vet tomorrow to see what's going on. I really hope he's gonna be ok I've had enough death in my life these past 2 years. I'm on the verge of literally crying but really want to stay positive till tomorrow.
Update: He passed away on Wednesday it was ruled that he had a brain tumor and got progressively worse had to put him down RIP
Wow I'm really sorry to hear about your loss man. R.I.P to your poochie. Just know he's happier now that he isn't suffering, as much as you must miss him.
Sorry to hear about that mate. Naturally, all life must come to an end - still doesn't make it any easier. He's in doggy heaven now, eating all the bones and tennis balls he wants. My condolences x
Sorry for your loss man, lost a dog to the same unfortunate condition, but atleast they caught it early, and were able to keep your dog from suffering further. My dog got to the stage where she was having seizures and such and my mom being a vet did everything she could to try and help her, but that's just life. 15 years is a long time and that means that you took great care of that pup! Sadly not every domestic pet is fortunate enough to have such great and caring owners, but you did and that's what you need to focus on, you gave him a great life while he was here!
