So I got concentrate for the first time, got a rig, got the butane lighter. So, I wasted at least some, from apparently not keeping the torch on the nail long enough to sufficiently heat it. So, I started heating it longer, until it would start glowing red. Doing it that way, I got much more smoke. However, that very night, day 1, my brand new, 100% full, butane lighter ran out of fluid. And then when I went to look at the piece the next day, the open end of the nail that you put the oil on had broken in half. So, I'm confused. Seemingly, I HAD TO keep the flame on the nail as long as I was, to get it good. But, doing that, I in one day went through the entire thing of butane, and my nail broke. So, what's up? How is the nail gonna break, from seemingly what you HAVE TO DO to use it? And then have to buy a refill of butane fluid every day you dab? Any insights?
was it a glass nail....? get a titanium one. that wont break when you torch it lol. also don't use a butane lighter, you aren't lighting a cigarette you're torching a nail till its red hot. get one of those propane torches from home depot/lowes or get a crem brule torch from like bed bath & beyond or a head shop and a can of butane. Vector is the best, its about $5
You gotta heat the glass nail evenly by rotating it. Glass nails will eventually break, but will last much longer if you heat them properly. Get a quartz or a quality titanium tho
And a 300 ml can of tane lasts me like more than 2 weeks, and I dab erryday and use a glowrod every single hit of flower I take so I dunno what your doing lol
Yeah, that's what I was wondering about here too, how did he go through that much fuel? Are you refilling it properly? Did you buy a tiny hand torch? How big was your fuel tank on both the torch and the tank you bought? And your post says lighter and torch, ... did you buy a regular bic lighter or a torch? Post what kind of torch you have, that seems to be whats causing you problems. And get a nail that isn't glass, either Ti or quartz. Glass breaks the first time sometimes, but they break eventually no matter what unless you baby the hell out of them.
I don't really know...but it sounds like he's using a small bic sized torch lighter. Not one of those big ones made for dabbing. It's odd because he doesn't say his can ran out, he says "my brand new, 100% full, butane lighter ran out of fluid".
