What do you think of this LED?

  1. Hi guys I am having a hard time choosing a light to add to my setup. I currently have a full spectrum 270w light from growace.com on the way which is a great high quality light but i want to add at least 100watts more. Ive seen all these 300w lights on amazon and ebay for like 80-130$ but there all made in china and i am worried they are just junk because of the price. Not trying to drop more then 150$ so that counts out the Mars 2 400w. So my question is Htgsupply.com has this light on sale rite now http://htgsupply.com/Product-7-Band-135w-UFO-LED# but i do not see a brand name or any reviews so was wondering if anyone has used or seen this light with good results?? thanks GC!

  2. well i decided to go with the Mars 300watt Led off ebay for only $82 and change shipped. Hope its official well see.

Cheap leds are a waste of money

Example with the HTG 135w is not actual watts (figure ~ 1/2 that as actual watts). If they ran the diodes at full power it would likely overheat and burn up in a matter of days

However, LEDs can be an investment

Watts alone do not mean much. The intensity and PAR are keys. ONE SS 100 will likely outproduce 2-3 HTG ufos. Ditto Mars

So less money, more nd better harvests

You can buy an Amare Technologies Solar Spec 100, and get 100 actual watts for $295. These panels were designed by a cannabis grower for cannabis growers

  5. cheap LEDS can grow well. look at all the people who are having success with mars hydro :) you don´t have to spend a lot to get results you will be happy with.

  6. How about the Mars I 300w? I just picked up 2 from smokesara for under $200 shipped. 1 is like $105 on the Mars website.

  7. Hello all, i had one of those 100 dollar 180w UFO.s  you know what it did,, it disintegrated the top of the new shoots and didn't
do it's 100 dollar job..so now i have the Mars 2 400  for 189 shipped...it is doing it's job and working better then expected ..

  8. yea guys i went with the mars 300watt but this is just my secondary light, i have a high quality all american made 270 watt advanced spectrum led from growace.com coming tomorrow. so ill have close to 600 watts with both. Check out my newest grow for pics of the Mars Led if your interested in its size and brightness

Lol I just read a review from that website on the 270 light, cracks me up. But also, growing in your child's closet? I just feel the reviews aren't real ones. Anyhow that doesn't matter, have you seen grows done with these lights? They look nice but are new to me.

"I bought this light after running a 600 watt hid system which constantly gave my plants burns and other problems due to the poor ventilation of the small closet it is located in(Forgive me for the small space, my child's closet can only fit so much after their small selection of clothes and their toy) I have to say this light is off the hook yo! My lettuce drops yields of 14-15 ounces per harvest! Thats a lot of sweet sticky lettuce! My lettuce is now famous around the neighborhood for being so good. People text me often looking for a chance to get the lettuce i grow with this light. I am VERY impressed with this LED. If you are looking for that perfect light to finish your hydroponic set up so you can produce the finest, stinkiest, sweetest, stickiest lettuce around, this light is legit. Even if you need to grow medicinal lettuce, look no further"

  10.
actually we suggest to use this old model with other lights together, but many expenrienced growers doing very well with it.

  11.
He already bought a different light. You've been suggesting these lights in a couple threads now. What's the price range on them, since they aren't listed?

  12. I quote the bigger one UFO price is USD 198 , The small one is USD 79

I see that Platinum is pretty confident they can compete with the mars, from what I read on ahhem, some other forum.
How's things man? Hope your well. [IMG] Man that Thai Haze, medusa, she's the strongest herb i've ever grown. It hits you right between the eyes like a punch in the face. lol
