  1. Hey guys I'm planning on making an 8x 6 grow room this up coming month and would love to try something new I've never grown in hydro and would love to try it I like the ebb and flow system but know nothing on how I can build one my own I would greatly appreciate all advice

  2. Read threads and watch youtube videos [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

  3. Hydro is cool and all but there are many Yield data bases such as "yield o rama" that have collected a ton of information from top growers and farms about grow styles mediums and yields, and have came up with some pretty staggering stats that have turned me right off hydro such as

What has been discovered from the YOR database
In the final analysis, 53% of crop yield variations found in the YOR database can be uniquely explained with just four key influences every indoor cannabis garden has in common.
    • Lumens (31%)
    • HPS Spectrum (14%)
    • Experience (5%)
    • Hydroponic Medium (3%)
These findings put to rest two of the most debated questions among cannabis cultivators.
Which spectrum produces higher cannabis yields?
Does hydroponic media yield more than soil?
Until now, matters surrounding these questions have been restricted to the realm of personal subjective opinion and experience. Growers with enough experience to have successfully used different light spectrums and growing media concur that HPS lamps and hydroponic media have indeed delivered higher yields. But because spectrum and media alone do not account for all the yield a grower sees from his indoor garden there has been no way to quantify these experiences with facts or numbers, or in a manner that's convincing to growers with conflicting opinions or limited lamp and media experience.
\n3% extra yield for a chance of loosing a whole crop because of 1 missed nut treatment is just a huge risk imo, and 3% unless your running a massive grow is nothing. 3% of 600 is 18, so would u risk your 600 grams for 18 more?
\nagain this information isnt 100% accurate but it is a database with people that are actually doing these different methods and willing to record the results.

  4.
I would advise you growing in DWC to start with. It cheap to buy, simply to build, and easy to run. Once you understand how nutrients, air, and ph work you can move to  more complicated systems. DWC is a great starting system and will likely yield you the most due to it being so idiot proof. You will get way bigger yields than soil

  5. Thanks guys I'll be doing a bit more reading !
