Bringing my half-sleeve down to elbow line. Need suggestions.

  1. I got this -->http://imgur.com/E1ApyLI a year ago. When I got it, my artist told me that I should start it at elbow line, however I was a fucking idiot and didn't listen. Now I'm going to finish it off (bring it up to shoulder, fill in inner arm) and I'm working with the same artist. He can't think of a way to bring it down to elbow-line without it looking terrible. I can't either. Was hoping that maybe you guys here would have some suggestions we could work in. I was thinking maybe some mountains, a lake or something.

  2. I'd fill up the inside and the upper arm first. I cant think of anything b/c thats a very hardline to work something into it. [IMG]

  3. I agree with the last person. I would finish up the upper part and inner arm and then maybe have the reflection of the trees, etc on a lake. Definitely would be dope in warm colors.

  4. I like the lake idea. You could also create some kind of underground/cave, etc. scene. A good artist should be able to continue that no problem.

  5. Your only option that I see is to have it removed and start over! JK

Have you stopped and talked to other artists? Even if yours can't figure it out no hurt in talking with another one. Have your current artist fill in your upper arm and have another artist do the lower part of your arm. No harm in that.

You could make some negative flames that I think would work. Later on down the line you can work from your wrist up and fill in the flames or leave it at a half sleeve.

This is a quick sketch of what I'm taking about.

Kinda looks like a forest fire at night

  7. The natural flow would be an underground continuation of the current tattoo.
    Hell ,bones, demons etc etc...
