Hello Blades, So I have been looking for a good way to kief my sugar leaf and small buds. All of my options online are either too small or too expensive. So I have decided to make my own box. I have some experience woodworking for my woodworking class in high school but it's been 10 years since I have touched a woodworking tool. I have some tools at home and am going to attempt to make a pretty ambitious box. 11.5" X 9.5" X 3" so it should be just bigger then most boxes and right in my price range. I decided on oak because it is nice heavy hard wood that is also harder to mess up on. I've cut the 12 pieces and bought to pieces of glass the same size. I also made the 45 degree cuts on both ends of all of the pieces. This is what I was inspired by.
I've cut the groves for the bottom and sanded and glued the middle piece. I attached the silk screen with screws and I found out it's not tout. I have to put more screws in it. I am afraid of putting to many being that it's a hard wood the screws tend to split it.
