Tolerance break help?

  1. Okay let me start by saying I have tried this only one other time and failed horribly. I have been smoking probably anywhere from .5 to 2 grams a day. Only dank for the past few months. Now I have noticed I can smoke .5 out of a bong and still need to smoke more to achieve where I want to be. So I have decided I need to take a break. I tried edibles to bring back that high that I want to achieve but both time I have tried ( cannaoil and firecrackers ) I used a little over a gram of dank and had no effect what so ever. Yes I decarbed and followed all instructions. The taste of cannabis was very strong but no effects or little if any. So today I have decided to start my break. I smoked last night at around 10 pm and I am going to quit for a week or atleast until sunday ( 5 days away ) will this have any effect on my tolerance quitting for such short time? I am also debating taking 2 or 3 grams of dank ground up buds and making qwiso hash. I would then depending upon the amount that is produced either top a bowl with it. Would this give me the high I am looking for? Also how much more potent is qwiso hash than kief? I have smoked kief on top of bowls and didnt notice much difference. Any help, suggestions, or people wanting to take a break with me are more than welcome.

    Sounds like your a heavy smoker, least in my eyes. If you want to make any real impact take a month off, easier said than done i suppose. Ive been smoking daily for more than a 5 months and recently quit smoking for a week now, havent really thought much about it beside the occasional thought of smoking just cause i dont have anything to do. Everyone is different, but personally its quite easy to just stop cold turkey

    Just go hang with friends, unless smoking is all you dudes ever did. Thatll trigger your urge to wanna smoke and you might cave. Dont be weak minded OP, you smoke weed, it doesnt smoke you or have any real power over you unless you let it.
     
  3. I took a 5 day break then went back to my normal routine (more edibles than vaping now though) and I ate 3-8 edibles all week and was still higher than I had been in a while. I vape .5-1.5 of medical weed everyday (6 months strong until the break) so my tolerance is there. I feel a week long break is effective and refreshing
     
  4. Well I am shortly over 24 hours without smoking. I haven't been able to eat. I have managed to eat a salad and that is it. It is also 3 :30 in the morning and I cannot sleep at all. I feel like if these 2 symptoms would go away I could easily stop for a while. Also from about 7 until 10 at night I have absolutely nothing to do and thats generally when I toke. I am always home alone during that period of time.
     
    Well I am still pushing for a week or atleast until sunday ( I watch the simpsons and family guys every sunday night ) and they are so much funnier stoned lol.
     
  5. You only really need about 4 days to feel a significant difference, but the longer you wait, the better that first hit will feel.
     
  6. Distract yourself, mate. Go do an outdoor activity.

  7. this guy is right. Exercise is key. Go hiking, run around, throw Frisbee. do something every day for at least several hours.
     
  8. 420 rule man. 4 days no smoking, 20 days smoking. It normal clears my tolerance haha :)

  10. im doing a 3 days tolerance break atm , i wanted to do a weak , but i cant handle it , i feel sad all the time , cant put food in my mouth , and cant sleep , world with no weed is hell
     
  11. I had some friends who got in trouble for smoking pot while running a daycare center in their home. They were only smoking after hours but anyways, they had to go through a program where they got piss tested. They were clean for a couple months and decided to start exercising. Well their piss tests came up positive so perhaps a good hike can do more than lift your spirits but maybe help you detox to lower your tolerance a bit quicker :)
     
  12. i know thc gets stored in the fat , but i heard that the part that gets you high is all in the brain , and exercice wont help you detox faster , but i have no research to back up this teory , if anyone has any studie about this subject please post a link here , ofc long time smokers opinions are always apreciated ! and thx for the help ladylucky , i will try exercice anyways , its always good and might get me my apetite back a little

  14. my t break has ended and i must say it was a sucsess ! i had a biig high ! need to do these break more often ! ^^
