Outdoor Grow Manual

  1. Hi y'all I'm new to the forum and looking to purchase a book or two on growing MJ. Most books seemed to be written with indoor growers in mind and was wondering what the best books to buy for a guy doing outdoor would be. There is a sickening amount of info on this forum and I could probably get away with not buying one but I love books and having all that info in one place organized is very nice. Thanks in advance for any help you guys might have for me.

  2. Living with Microbes

Gain an understanding of microbiology and you'll understand organic gardening (outdoors). Best of luck

  3. Never read any books on outdoor growing and haven't read too many on growing period but it is all about the microbes.

  4. Living soil and all that gotcha, I'll be sure to pick that one up. Thanks guys.

  5. You'll do better for the most part just shadowing one or more of the many outside growers or forums.. Find someone growing in your general area and follow their thread.. The organic lounge is a good one to read on a daily basis.. The easy beginner soil thread is another..

Growing outdoors has both advantages and pitfalls You'll need a good IPM ( integrated pest management ) in hand or mother nature will gobble, mold and mildew your crop into uselessness..

Since it's that time of year I've been fine tuning this bit of text I paste where and when needed.. Got tired of typing it out time after time..
Let me know if it needs corrected or added to.. any constructive criticism is welcome..

Most all of this can be found at Home Depot or Lowes except the Green Cure.. Hydro shop for that..
Buy a new sprayer and rinse really well between solutions or buy multiple sprayers like I did..
I do my treatments like any good farmer.. up well before dawn
    Spray BT on Monday..
    Green Cure on Tuesday
Neem on Wednesday.. Only in veg
    Spinosad Thursday as needed

  6. Welcome to Grasscity. I'm not sure you experience but you can't go wrong with books by Ed Rothensal who's book is used to teach growing at Oaksterdam's cannabis school. I also own Jorge Cervantes grow book. He's had been a writer for High Times for a long time. He also updates his books every few years. Both books cover indoor and outdoor. From seed to harvest. Great books for even the expert grower. I reference mine every year and they are a great tool to refresh your memory before grow season. Books on living soils and microbs are great books for more advance growers. Keep things simple III you are new to outdoor growing. My advice is to keep it Organic. Synthetic bottled nutrients are bad for the plant in the long run and bad for the environment. Growing organic results in a better product and the soil only keeps getting better with each grow. Good luck.
