  1. Any blades certified massage therapists? im strongly considering taking classes to get my certification.

do you enjoy it? typical day of work?

  2. a good friend of mine is a trigger point therapy specialist. he has his own clinic.
another person that i know works in a chiropractor's office to assist with treatments. i know his typical day of work .. he works from about 8 - 4.. with 10 minute breaks here and there (he has an hour off for lunch).

once you get your certificate you can pick an area of "massage therapy" (i.e. sports massage, trigger point therapy, etc.) to focus on specifically.

  3. I was. I decided it wasnt right for me( though i do enjoy it as a hobbie). Cortiva Insitute is highly reputable and affordable.
As far as work and pay, it is what you make it. You can start your own buisness or work for someone else... either way you will need to be willing to network and advertise for yourself to build a client base.
It is manual labor so you have to treat your body well and practice proper posture or you wont last long.
if you want to hone your skills and work in a clinic or maybe animal massage then you can make a decent amount of money where as spas usually pay less an hour. But it just depend on experience, skill, and where you live ya know?

  4. Well we all know there wont be a shortage of clients, ive nevr had a good massage.. maybe one day

your only as free as you think you are

  5. Hello, really sorry for adding response on bit old thread but there was no latest relevant threads.

Actually, I got foot injury while playing basketball and for the first two days, I didn't feel any pain but after that I was unable to move even my foot. What do you recommend, massage therapy or any sports therapy?

    Thanks for any help!

  6. The hardest part is building your client base on your own. You CAN go to work for a chiro but you won't make much. I have a niece who was all gung ho but she quit within two years because she couldn't pay her bills. Think hard about it, there are a lot of MT's out there.

  7. Okay alright, got your point.

    Thank you so much!

  8. Not meaning to discourage you, but it's not like the brochures make it out to be.
