Opinion on when to harvest male

  1. I have a male that I am going to harvest for pollen and just wanted some second opinions on if it is ready to harvest for viable pollen. It looks to have a couple of sacs that have opened and actual flower petals on those sacs. You guys think he is ready?

  2. How can you not tell if a male is viable for pollen collection? Shake him. If he sprinkles pollen he's viable. Usually males have dropped and died by the time a female is getting into forming her flowers and seeds. If I were you I would just get a hold of a female you can pollinate while you still got your hands on him. Male studs are valuable and you never know when you'll need to make seeds.
