do-nothing garden

  1. Thanks TJ. Yeah, I'm thinking pretty hard about starting a journal once I get the room going again. Right now my plants are sitting in my old office under a couple lights until I can get things ready. Probably get it closed in by the weekend. My future SIL is coming by to give me a hand. Not much of a job, but more than I can handle on my own these days. Frustrating!
I really would like to show off the CBD Critical Cure I'm growing too. Seems to be quite a bit of interest in high CBD and I've been using them for a couple years now.
Thanks for all your help and encouragement TJ. You are an inspiration! I might drop a little bud porn on ya in the meantime though...

  2. Get to pick up some OG GhostTrainHaze today........pretty excited

That was my last harvest back on March 7th. I didn't veg them long as I was afraid to run out of meds. They produced enough to get me through while I grow some bigger trees.
Now those two pots have a Strawberry Haze and a Master Kush in them. My other two 15 gal have CBD Critical Cure, and I have two Dark Star in fives from my own seeds. Ill save those for my first post in my own thread, probably next week sometime once I get the room built.
    Thanks for the invitation TJ!

  4. Awesome, Mainah! Thanks for posting! I have been wanting to try a CBD strain. How do you like that one?

Can't wait to see whatcha do with the new lights. You are going to kill it with those!

Are those all in 15 gal's?

@cabinetman excited for ya dude. Have heard a lot of good reviews of the ghost train haze! :)

  5. Hello all! Got that weekly update here for you fine folks.

Got the exhaust hooked up so that it vents out of the window near my tent. A straight line would be ideal, but ain't happening right now. This is still working great. I think that my RH problem is solved for good now :metal:

Transplanted some clones out of the cloner and they are looking great. Got some fishbone lookin roots on all of them and got impatient lol. The clones from the new cloner are the ones in solo cups in front row. This 8 Miles High is crazy. Roots are already hitting the sides of the cup 24 hrs after transplant

Still one more left in the cloner. I cleaned out the rez then refilled it with golden goat cuttings from the plant in flower, hopefully something roots and I can have a successful re-veg.

    20150401_204732.jpg

The flower tent is looking good. Didn't pull them out for individual plant shots this week. Too lazy lol.

The GFBA is makin some nice looking colas this round! :metal: (she is in the back-left)

Golden Goat is cruisin right along at week 4 (on right in group shot). Her buds are gonna be fatties, I can feel it! :metal:

    20150331_222429.jpg

The Cough mystery is finally solved. This is Purple Pink Lady x Cough :) a cross my buddy made. She is looking and smelling quite nice. About halfway there at 5 weeks in :)

Hope everyone is having a nice week!

I don't have much to compare to with this round since I haven't ran these strains before. Ran the GFBA once, but didn't do her any justice. The plants look just as good or better than I have experienced with my 400w HID if that helps lol. The temps are definitely lower too. Gonna be fun to watch these gals chunk up :) if they keep growing at this rate, the GFBA and the Goat could be my heaviest harvests yet :) :yay: I'm still dialling in watering and what-not. Wasn't really able to use the SIP's much due to humidity, but now that is fixed and I can get back to normal.

I'm really diggin the light so far and the plants seem to love it :) will be cool to see how it compares in veg too :metal:

You set yours up yet? I think you will dig it :D the plants responded within minutes and started praying, definitely a good sign.

  9. Awesome, have not hung it yet. I have a few things to sort out in the room first. Going to harvest what's in there first, starting tomorrow. I want a more secure method of hanging them. I am also waiting on my second light as I was told they are on Back Order.... Fred said he would deliver it and bring his light meter to make sure everything is dialed. I bought these to hang over a 3x6 tray. I have some concern as he was saying plants that grew outside of that area as they bush out might not get sufficient light. Hope I didn't make a mistake?

  10. I gotcha man. I am using XRT rope ratchets which are rated for 250 lbs. So my tent would have to fail for this thing to fall LOL. I was told that the first order was pretty close to selling out when I bought mine, so that would make sense. Two should be perfect for a 3'x6' area, but you are right, outside of that the intensity drops off for sure. I'm using mine in a 4'x4' tent and rotate the plants often. Not ideal, but it will grow plenty of smokable buds.

  11. Beautiful update man! Plants are looking phenomenal! And clones look amazing as well. Glad the cloner worded to a T. Keep rocking brother

  12. sweet update dude..

i bet those goats root up fine man.. glad that cloner is working out for you dude, and the RH situation!

looks like you're cruising right along dude.. gotta be stoked over there!

Are those all in 15 gal's?

Thanks TJ! Yeah those 2 were in 15s. I have 4 in 15 gal, and 2 in 5s that I might have to move up now, all in veg. The 5s have Dark Stars from my own seeds. First time growing them and they're out doing the 15s so far.

I love the CBD Critical Cure. I'd recommend it to anyone as a daytime smoke. Better than CannaTonic for me and I like that one a lot. One bowl in my Solo is good if my pain level isn't too high and I feel like doing something. No energy boost, but no couch lock either. Very good IMO and it's only cured 2-3 weeks so far. It will only get better. Glad I have 2 more going. I need to take some clones once I get my room done.
UPS says my lights will be here next Wednesday. I'm excited! My future SIL is coming Saturday to help me put some walls up so I should be able to put the lights right up.

Man your garden is looking sweet! That light looks like it's doing you justice for sure! What's the recommended core footprint on it? I can see where with diligent plant rotation you could pretty well fill your tent. A 4 ft T5 on each side would compensate a lot I bet. Even a single or dual bulb setup. Guys flower plants under those after all. But you're prolly doing another light before long anyway right? Another 350?

  14. ...continued from gmans thread.
I have some pics I think at home. Ill look tonight and explain more

  15.     Lookin' Great TJ.  It's really cool to see all the little projects you've worked on through the last couple months all working in concert.  I'm sure you'll agree it's all the more satisfying if you've built it all from the ground up.=).
Your weekly update has got me geared up for my weekly update!  The girls and I are at day 28!  the Haze is at 35.  It looks like it's at week 2 but that's normal i guess.
You're not gonna believe this, but I gotta fly,  I'm up to my elbows in soil outside, lol.  Take care brother.

btw, I'm having an awesome week!  Hope you are as well.=)

    Later,

Thanks dude! Yeah i am pretty stoked on the cloner. Easiest method I have used for cloning by FAR. Pretty sweet lol. The plants that I cloned are already filling their colo cups with roots-- I can see a few popping out of the bottom holes already  hope you're enjoying your weekend bro!

Thanks buddy! i am hopefuly for the goat clones. If they fail, I won't be too heartbroken. Just feel bad cuz I promised a few out to folks in the parking lot lol. Note to self, don't promise things unless they are ready lol.

Really stoked about the RH thing. I should have done that ages ago. Air flow is such a major key to successful indoor growing.

Right on! I have a few 15 gallon root pouches that I had planned on using b4b ut can't decide. Just such a large container for my tent, they are kind of cumbersome. I should be able to get decent yields off of 5-10 gallons in my space so 15 almost seems silly lol.

There are some ACDC and Harlequin clones floating around this area, so I am hoping that one might land in my garden at some point.

I'm excited for you man! I think that you are really going to like the new lights :) will be a nice upgrade from the prosource UFO's I think. Also, you made a good choice as far as coverage and the number of panels for your space. I can tell that this light would really do much better in a 3'x3' like it is designed for.

I had though about doing something like that and may in the future. Have seen a lot of successful grows with t5's. Who knows, it looks like some changes are on the horizon for me very soon for sure lol. :) would be cool to setup a 6'x6' tent with 4 of the 350's :metal:

  17. Please do, tree! I like the rope wick idea. I was thinking that the 5 gal bucket SIP's would be my final containers, so transplanting would not be an issue for me. We shall see, I still haven't gone forward with anything yet. Knowing me, I will twiddle my thumbs for a while lol.

Thanks dude! I am thinking that I want to deconstruct my veg cab and convert my tent over to veg hours after I harvest these plants. Then build a new 4'x4' flower cab. I can build something that is way more lightproof than this tent (or any tent) could ever dream of being. Then I could go in and mess with the veg plants all hours of the day rather than being restricted to the flower tent's hours.

I'll hafta go check out your update. It has been a couple weeks since I have peeked in there! I bet they are growing like champs :)

Have fun with the soil, brother plaid! I know you will! Lol

Enjoy the remainder of your weekend :)

  18. Looks like we both learned that lesson at the same time. With my proper ventilation, everything's cruising along as expected. I still need to permanently mount my fan but it's all set up otherwise.

  19. Soooo I've got some bad news, everyone. Last night while looking at my vegging plants I noticed that three of them had a couple spots of powdery mildew.... FUCK! that made me sick to my stomach. I have heard nothing but horror stories about that awful fungus. Soo I tossed out those plants and sprayed the healthy ones with neem oil. I am thinking about just scrapping all of the vegging plants and the whole veg area completely, cleaning everything and then just starting fresh with seeds. It is not worth it to me to risk this round of flowering plants just to save a couple of clones. I am really relying on a successful harvest from this round of plants. I have a stupid amount of seeds anyway and would love to start cracking them. This seems like a perfect excuse to me. Will be sad to toss out the krystalica and GFBA, but I have more seeds of both so it is not a total loss.
