Someone help me haha

  1. Okay so I'm building a 2x2x6 foot grow box. I need to know how many plants I can SOG. What type of lights and fans I should use. I'd like to use CFLs and minimal fans for electricity bill. But someone please let me know:)

  2. Start reading brotha. There's a shit ton of information on this site and I guarantee with a little time and research, you'll know what you need better than we do.

    Good luck!

  3. ^^^^^ what they said. I've been a lurker for almost a year now and your not going to get everything handed to you. People have worked hard countless hours and years to get where they are and WILL NOT handed over easy info. Do your research like everyone else

  4. Then what's the point of a forum?? Because the purpose is to get questions answered this site is pointless

  5. Then if this site is pointless why do you continue to post? There are plenty of stickies/information on what lights to use and when to use them and how much to use on however many plants you have and how many watts you need per plant. It's all here man. You want to grow, then put the effort in. No one is going to hold your hand. Sorry if I'm coming off rude but that's how it is.

  6. I'm just confused. I've read a million different posts here that contradict each other and have yet to find an answer to any one question. So I guess the best thing to do is delete the app take the basics I know and just shoot for anything

  7. Go to the stickie section and look at kamels cfl guide. Then head on over to the section where people build there own grow boxes. You'll find all the info you need on lights, fans, and how to set up your home made grow box in those two sections. I guarantee it

  8. Or you could go to the sticky that says "beginners compendium of HELPFUL LINKS"
other people have done the work by putting it on the site.
Don't bash the site for your ignorance and laziness

  9. Wow bro. Thanks for that haha.

  10. Anytime bud

  11. Hope you find what you are looking for.   No reason why you shouldn't.   Lots of great info here and plenty of help if you need it.    Just to get you started, if you are using a 2x2 area, my opinion is 1 or 2 plants max.    Get as much light as you can afford and keep cool.    Watch the nutrients, temps, humidity and you should be fine.    If you are starting from seeds, make sure to get the best strain from a reputable distributor as I think that's the most important.    Again, just my opinion.

  12. Exactly what I was looking for , thank you very much.

  13. Post another topic on how you have a 2x2 space and need to know how many plants to grow and what lights to use. Maybe you'll get someone to give you all your info then. All we are saying is you need to study and not spew out ignorant questions/op's where the info is posted on the site for everyone to have access to.

You've stated your point like 4 times, I got it, my question wasn't ignorant, I've been studying continuously for two weeks and have yet to get a straight forward answer that wasn't contradicted somewhere else. Thanks but you don't have to reply again, I got it👌👌

  16. You won't get a straight forward answer from an experienced grower on this forum unless you sound like you know what you're talking about. Not just asking any question you want. Sorry to come off like that but you would have gotten it from someone one day. Wasn't meaning to be rude, just giving advice. Like you wanted. Good luck

  17. So many answers.

First, dump the CFL idea...with 4 sq feet of "floor" you'll save more power using a pair of LED UFOs, 90 watts "equivalent" each. More expensive to set up, but better yield, and comparable power drain. Reason being more PAR available, which is more light energy, which is larger, faster, and more productive growth.

Second...at what height do you plan to start SOGging? With 6 feet of headroom, you can put 4 5 gallon pots in, which will cost you a foot...let them grow 12 inches, then start screening them, you have 4 feet of space. Keep them tucked well, even once you stop weaving them because they're in flower, you'll have enough space to work with, easily.

LED means less, but not no heat issue...get a dimmer switch and a 6 inch inline fan..more expensive to begin with, but at under 1 amp max (which is what's normal for a 6"), that's less than a 100 watt incandescent bulb costs you to run. That's the MAX draw you'll most likely have to work with, you'll probably be fine running it at half power...about what a 50 watt bulb uses.

That cover your bases, to start with?

  18. DUDE thank you so much! So helpful! I'll be sure to do that thank you

  19. it all varies on grower preferences. Your not gonna find the right answer because it all depends on your style. I personally would put 1 for that small space. Lights depends on your budget, low budget Cfl good budget hps/mh. Fans don't use a lot of electricity. Inline fans you mean a small try vortex fans.
