I believe that I have got an idea that can significantly reduce the time and effort put into finding pests and mold that are detrimental to legal marijuana cultivation. I am new to everything about this process so I am looking for some help. Marijuana legalization is something I believe will benefit America greatly and look forward to getting involved in the industry. Here they are:

How are pests and molds currently being detected in cultivation? Are growers just hoping they catch them at the earliest stage possible? What are the negative effects that pests and molds have on marijuana cultivation?

How much time, effort and money is dedicated to the problem of pests and mold in large grow operations?

What is the status of pesticides in regards to their application in the cultivation industry? Are any of them harmful?

Is there one particular pest or mold problem that is the worst? What is the least problematic?

For any growers, are pests and molds a big enough problem where you would pay for an early detection system to the ones that you have in place now?

Is there any disease that every marijuana crop is effected by no matter where the crop is grown?

Are viruses a big problem? I believe my idea could detect viruses also.

Any information I can obtain is greatly appreciated, thank you.

  2. do we get posts like this all the time?

you need some knowledge and practice with general gardening....

My question is what product are you trying to come up with or sell.

no offense but what idea can detect viruses? They only infect live hosts and require really sensitive shit to detect them.

Im still a little freaked out but im writing through it...

So ye man this forum has lots of killer information maybe try doing your own HW lol

  3. dam you california

  4. I do not post on forums often so I hope I am quoting your text correctly. I do not know if you get posts like this all the time?

I have only found out that the plants can have viruses today, that is why I asked about them specifically. I am trying to learn as much as possible but I cannot find specific answers from growers, which is what I am looking for in this forum.

All I want to say about the idea is that it is 100 percent organic, and I believe if I can implement the process, it can help in the earliest possible detection of the viruses. From what I see now growers use test kits which are expensive and reactive, I want to be able to be proactive.

I am in the process of doing my homework, but still nice to get answers to my specific questions. Thank you for the advice.

  5.
This is cool I will have to check it out. A quick skim of the website and I do not see that it will detect viruses. Thanks for the link.

  6. ye...u and these viruses.  Listen pls answer my question. Do you think genes should have patents like other tangible objects? ......And if genes do have patents, once other states adopt a pro cannabis regimes, should huge companies like Monsanto get their crazy ass hands on fields of bud basically destroying prices and diversity?

  7. Yes, me and these viruses. As far as I can understand, viruses are detrimental to cannabis yields, therefore the earlier they can be detected in grow operations, the less impact they can have on those grow operations. I am trying to come up with a way to combat these problems.

The short answers to your questions are no and no.

Now answer my questions, are you going to offer any valuable insight into this thread? Can you answer any of my original questions?

  8. weed doesnt really get viruses ive been growing 10yrs and never had any...TMV is the only one I have heard of and I dont know anyone thats had it

  9. ok then you should know about them..AS little as i know you cant cure and grow tobacco and cannabis in the same area i think...cause you get the only virus anyone has ever encountered or heard of. So ye the Tobacco virus can be bad if you molest your plants

  10.
Thank you for the reply, I am trying to get an understanding of things that are detrimental to the plants on the pest, mold, and virus side of the grow process. I am just starting out but I hope to be a positive addition to cannabis cultivation.
