So about 3 popped from the soil (used paper towel method then planted) the other 2 popped also, they're still curled up haven't opened up but its white/cream colour and the shell cracked also, the other ones when they were curled up before opening up were green/brown colour these 2 are pure cream/white colour. Will it live or something wrong? Also they don't really have a stem just the white part and the roots. do they start off white when shell cracks then turn green?
My camera sucks dick, go to this video and skip to 1:48 you'll see the head where the leaves suppose to be all curled up split in the middle where 2 leaves suppose to be, looks exactly the same instead the root is in soil and the head looks the same but instead popping out of the soil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tehCb0Zbi1M
Yo man it would really help if you would post a picture, even if it's low quality. You shouldn't see roots as this should be in soil/rockwool/whatever. Sometimes the shell will stay on as it sprouts but will break/fall off naturally.
It's normal. They just need some time under the light to develop chlorophyll and start to green up. Take a healthy mature plant and deprive it if light for a few days and it will start turning yellow too.
Sometimes after the shell cracks off there is still a thin membrane over the leaves. If the plant doesn't shed that on it's own within a day or two at the most, I will gently pinch that off to help the plant start it's journey.
I'm actually gob smacked with the amount of helpful useful comments :O < my face, It's my first time experiencing, I've popped around 8 seeds and first time it has happened out of 8 seeds, usually they come out looking brown/greenish even without the shell but these seeds are lazy as fudge (just kidding )
Another question guys, how long into flowering do you start showing "signs" of flower it seems mine is still continuing to produce new leaves/tops, do you also produce new leaves during flowering or it stops at certain point?
You can see the first hairs starting to form anywhere from 1-3 weeks after switching to 12/12. For the first 2 or more weeks the plants grow a lot, then they will slow down on upward growth and start fattening up. Every plant will have a different schedule but you will get the feel for things soon enough.
Looks normal what youll see is that they are really curled and tucked under neath if its a cfl move it closer but if you watch closely theyshe wil curl up from back open and spead and start smiling for the light good luck buddy
