    Behold Cloud Warriors!

Cloud Warriors is a bar trivia game where the questions are so hard, players require smartphones to surf the internet for answers.  And beyond that, all combatants need intelligent phones so they could post answers on Twitter alongside the #cloudwarriors hashtag.  The first answer tweet to appear on the dedicated Twitter-Wall wins the cash prize.. See below, a runner-up shows how close he came to the money - just a few seconds too late!

First played at Cagney's Wine Bar in Mississauga on Feb 24th 2015, you can read the whole story of what actually happened on Digital Journal here , http://www.digitaljournal.com/a-and-e/gaming/review-cloud-warriors-is-a-trivia-game-played-on-a-twitter-wall/article/427038

Cloud Warriors compensates the first player to paste the correct answer on a Twitter Wall with cold hard cash!

During the first Cloud Warriors game there was over $700 in cash and prizes dispensed to a half dozen rapid tweeters. That first match had twenty questions and there were approx two dozen players in the crowded pub but the same six individuals kept winning as is par for the course with any new sport.  The bartender ws n of the six - she entered the competition reluctantly, but soon won a couple of the challenges that were drink related. One such query asked folks to reserahc and tweet the secret ingredient of Cagney's Bourbon Sour? - Frangelico.

In just about every case, the first correct 'answer tweet' to appear on the Twitterwall (set to display only those Tweets with the requisite #cloudwarriors hashtag) wins the cash, which in many cases was accompanied by edible prizing (including free drinks).  I say just about every case because there were a couple of anomolies , incl a tweet that came from nowhere ? nobody fessed up to it, and there were two instances where it was a dead tie, and a thrid situation where the owner of the bar won the prize and then turned around and donated the prize back to the contest. In every siituation the rememdy was to simply doubling or tripling the reward for the next question.  The challenges were mostly about food, friends of the pub, local politicians, and neighbourhood sports teams and the dates and locations interesting Mississauga current events,

Surround Digital marketing agency designed and owns the game, and is looking to take it on the road.

On Feb 24th at Cagney's the grand prize was donated by TeraGo Cloud Services Canada, and was an IdeaWorX WiFi antenna designed to help warriors find open networks up to a half mile away. Read more about how the winner won on Arob12.blog.ca

This event is very good for raising the online and offline profile of a neighbourhood pub or restauarant, and the increased crowd and activity can triple kitchen and bar sales on a slow night - the cost of the event can be shared by businesses which are the subject of the questions. In this waythe game defines a nieghbourhood. Players can be made to find and follow sponsor businesses social media accounts too.
