Phylos Bioscience

  1. Hey all, just wondering if anyone works for or knows any information regarding bioscience applications in the marijuana industry. For example Phylos Bioscience is a company that test strains for potency, is actually sequencing DNA, and much much more. Their website has all the info on what they are about.

I'm currently a bioscience major and up until now I've found no interest in the courses ive been taking, however, the application towards something that interest me has me a little more optimistic.

Anyway, I don't graduate for another year and that will only be my B.S. so I don't want to reach out to the company yet to ask about employment opportunities. I thought maybe someone here might have some insight into what it's like and suggestions as far as my education is concerned.

  2. If nothing else, grasp all there is that encompasses the field, perhaps you can, or will, find an epiphany that will advance the science. :smoke:

  3. If anything, you could still reach out to them and let them know your current education status. That way you'll be on their radar and if you're lucky they'll have a job or internship waiting for you.
As a physics major (sophomore), I can relate to being interested in jobs, but not yet having the education to apply.
