In life there is always 2

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by ColoradoToking, Mar 3, 2015.

  1. 2 genders
    2 eyes
    2 legs
    2 hands
    Positive & negative (2)
    Good and bad (2)
    Hot and cold (2)
    Life and death (2)

I'm sure theres much more too. Look, I'm not saying there's a reason for it and if so I don't know what it is but it is an interesting human mind concept for your brain to fiddle with. :) happy toking

  2. 2 testicles,
    2 ovaries,

  3. Dude I'm so ready for this adventure.

  4. yin and yang... (2)

  6. Length, width, height... shit wait.

    Light/dark

  7. One can't exist without it's counterpart, however, ultimately all is one.  The shadow is a product of light, without light, there is no shadow.

  8. Life is fractals.

  9. Predator/prey

  10. For every material subject there is a spiritual object, for every material object there is a spiritual subject. And indeed the resolution is constant in a recurrence between dissolution and solution. Thus life manifests itself into itself, and is a constant happening reality that can never really be determined. Only knowledge of time and essence can a person achieve perfected action. As for a perfected thought? Who knows?

    ^ sorry lol

But yeah, we even have two brains!

That is, we essentially have two independent brains, Left and Right, as a host of neuroscience experiments, clinical surgical procedures, and medical trauma have shown. Since the two hemispheric brains process opposite side somatosensory stimuli and control muscles, organs, and everything else in the same crisscrossed manner, they share data. Through various integration mechanisms between the two brains, such as the simulation of 3D from our two distinct 2D retinal input mappings, etc, we experience an effective representation of our 3D environment.

The two brains can also work  independently - and they can even function standalone such as when one side has been destroyed by traumatic injury and lesions. In severe seizure situations, the two brains can even be severed at the corpus callosum, the data superhighway that runs between them, and thus act in tandem. But I think I'd wanna go with weed high in CBD before going that route! lol

The human physiology in general and the nervous system in particular, is chock full of dualisms. I could write an essay on that so fucking long that I'd be banned forever from the whole internet! [IMG]
