How to use these?

  1. How do you use a 1 part Nute like this one?
    Nutes.jpg
I would use this and CalMag Plus in the system then when flowering comes through use the Bloom version.
But is that it? Do i just monitor my PPM and my PH levels through the grow and just add this and calmg+? Or are there other factors?
I have 3 soil grows under my belt.

  2. What's botanicares recommendations for it?

  4. Nice...!

Yeah it definately looks like you have the right idea friend.

Are you using reverse osmosis water? If not you may consider trying just the single part nute without the calmag first and see how your plants respond to it.

I would recommend not going to the full strength ml/gal dosage they recommend straight away. Id start at half strength first and see how your ppms fair.

What system are you running? Is that ok for hydro? It doesn't list all of the nutrients that plants use. In soil nutes these are usually missing because the soil will have enough of them. In hydro they all need to be present

What is the ppm of your tap water?
    Is RO filtering necessary?

This is the label of the grow nutes I use, this is a single bottle type as well

This is the bloom version. Surprisingly similar I thought

  7. You sure you wanna go using something with organics on your first hydro?
In my opinion, that opens the door for bacteria if your res temps get at all warm.
You may want to run some type of root inoculant. Maybe even read up on brewing some beni tea.

Well while i was at the hydro store they were telling me that this is just a 1 part that i use with some CalMag, and yes i plan to use RO water, but like goldgrower is saying it seems as tho this by itself does not have enough nutes in it.

And goldgrower i can use my Tapwater but i still have to use CalMag seeing as how i have city water that comes from an aqua fur so it has barely any elements because of the way my city has to treat it.

Would i need to use the KIND Base along with the Grow formula?

    http://www.urbansunshine.com/kind-base-quart?cPath=292_385_387&

  9. It looks like the kind bottle is just calcium and nitrogen, nothing else. It advertises that is doesn't have the trace elements that grow and bloom has, so perhaps the grow bottle you have does have all the trace elements but they just haven't mentioned them

If your tap water has such a low ppm, why go to the trouble of using reverse osmosis?

The kind is only nitrogen and calcium so you could probably get away with any calcium + magnesium type supplement product

So basically in order for this to work i use lets say KIND Base + Grow+ CalMag for my reservoir? Im going to do a 5gal DWC.
TDS on my Tap water is roughly 130-135

  12.
That ppm isn't bad at all. Unless you know of something undesirable in the water I would use it without worry.

From what I can see if you use the kind base you won't need another calcium supplement. But your tap water may already have enough calcium and magnesium in it so you may not need calmag or the kind base.

There is still an issue with the trace nutes but if it's for proper hydro it must have them otherwise it just wouldn't work

  13. I dont think they have the full list of ingredients on there for the simple fact that its still a patent pending maybe and they dont want the idea taken or stolen?
And my Tap has 0 Calcium or Magnesium and i know that for a fact.
I went and looked at what is in my water, and its not much to be honest cause my city cleans its water with Ozone

  14. If you haven't bought it yet check this out http://hydrodynamicsintl.com/ionic-grow.html
It's what I use. I just add it to the water and its done. Truly just the one bottle. I use grow for vegging and bloom for flowering. But I suspect you could use bloom for both phases.

With this you don't need calmag or any other supplement when using it with tap water

Oh right I see. Do you know what is in the water? What is bringing the ppm up to that figure? My tap water has a ppm of just 50 and I use the ionic nutes without anything else. It has plenty of calcium and magnesium in it

  16. Antimony, Asbestos,Barium,Flouride,Lead,Nitrate,Sodium

Those above is what my water contains

And the highest PPM is antimony with (2ppm)

And the reason our water is like this is cause its from an Aquifer

  17.
If the highest one is 2ppm and the total is 130ppm then there must be other elements you aren't accounting for

  18. This is what's in my tap water, it's a total of 50ppm
