So im going to be building a cabinet 3 x 3 x 6.5 with a 400 watt cool tube and a 6" fan/filter combo, I wanted to know how I should be setting up my exhaust. Should I have the carbon filter inside the cab, with the fan pulling the scrubbed air across the bulb and out through the attic? [CF--->Cool Tube--->Fan]--->Exit Or have the fan pulling the cab's air across the bulb and out through the carbon filter located outside the box? [Cool Tube--->Fan]--->CF Looking for the best way to vent the hot air out while getting rid of the stank, but not being TOO noisy. I'm also not sure if I should get an inline fan to blow fresh air into the cab as well or do passive intake so i get more of a vacuum effect bring the air in. The area where the cabinet is located gets pretty warm.
Screw the filter, go sealed set up room >duct>light>duct>room .. Then use an exhale bag to supplement co2 with a six inch inline fan on a time to vent as needed .. That can then run to the scrubber ... Less noise. Less electricity.. Less smell.. And greener plants ..
if you must decide between the two then you could immediately determine that the scrubber inside won't work .. Its too small if a space an with 3x3 your going to be stuck with minimum plants anyways.. So carbon filter goes outside .. But I would run sealed and put reflective mylar over the soil to prevent algae and make sure you keep the humidity in line ..
I recommend the first one you suggested. I wouldn't bother blowing air in with a second fan. You should notice a difference in temps right away.
cool, im planning on just growing one plant for personal use due to that size, gonna scrog with a 5 gallon dwc bucket awesome, thanks man
