Co2 bags? PPM?

  1. Ok guys so has any one actually checked the ppm on these bags? im in a 4x4x6 tent with 3 exhale bags. No idea what I'm looking at ppm wise. Any thoughts?

  2. I would like to see feedback as well! I bought 2 during my veg stage and hung them up above my area and im sure they made improvement just hard to say how much and co2 meter too dam expensive. lol Ive had them about a month but the other day i hung one right in front/above the main fan (which is blowing on the plants ) and they seem to have shot up even more that way.

I was hesitant on buying them after reading reviews but the local hydro store recommended them and said they had tested them before and 900 ppm was there average for a 4x6x8 tent with 2 of the bigger bags. They also said they get bad raps because places will sell them after they expire by putting new date on them so they don't loose money. makes sense kinda lol

  3. Yea definitely agree about the dates, and the co2 meter way to expensive. I do notice improvement using the bags though.... if anyone out there has a meter, and can shed some light on this, it would be very helpful.

  4. Heres my 4 short riders and 3 bubblicious both autoflowers with 2 co2 bags in 4x7x8 room pretty well sealed. Huge difference with the co2 bag hanging in front of fan blowing on plants. This Started averaging almost 3 inches growth a day for the bubblicious autos. They are 42 days old today from sprout.

  6. For veg use a single bloom bag. For bloom use two bloom bags. In a slightly larger tent I've seen as high as 800ppm with a single bag. But the tent was not being vented.

  7. We tested and debunked them a few years ago. I have two CO2 meters and found the bags to be a complete waste of money and space. I can hunt for the details, but it went like this:

They do in fact make CO2 in a small sealed room/container. We put four bags in, followed the instructions. With all ventilation shut off, It took about an hour to get my small 4'X2'X8' room to reach 800PPM (well short of useful enrichment). It took less then 15 seconds for the CO2 to normalize as soon as the ventilation cycled on.

To get any benefit from CO2 enrichment, you must maintain the CO2 above 1200PPM the whole time the lamp is on. The problem with the bags, buckets, pucks, yeast, is it takes too long to compensate for any ventilation or leaks. Compressed CO2 tanks will replace lost levels in a few seconds.

Side note: The bags stopped making any measurable difference in three days.

So it is possible to reach enrichment levels with the exhale bags, but you have to be growing in a small sealed fish tank that never needs to be cooled. Don't forget to change the bags out twice a week.

All products like CO2 Boost Buckets, Exhale  CO2 bags sole purpose is to separate money from new growers. Don't let them take credit for the awesome results in your grow room. It is you making the difference, not the gimmick rip-off.

Not your fault, most folks doing this sort of stuff turn out to be the best growers. It is very telling, that you care so much, you will do anything to improve.

    Keep up the good work.
