hey guys ive decided to make a tread for my grow. This is my first grow, i will have tons of questions and the best place for me to start would be here.

just going to throw our some quick details.

    -1k watt mh for veg
    -50/50 coco + perlite
    - 7gal smart pots with only 2 being 15gal
    - nuts are fox farm trio + calmag

    I am planting from seed.
took 3 days to germinate. sprouts come out on the 11th.

this is today's pic at day 17.

feed them nuts today was 520 ppm.i did not use big bloom today. (i am unsure if i should even use this for coco so i'll hold off) i tried to shoot for around half str of recommended dosage from ff

looks great but I see you are making one of the prime new grower mistakes.

the 1000watt veg light is way too overpowered for what the plants need right now, you will save a lot of money if you put them under T5 racks, or 400watt MH.
you will see the same growth rate, with less heat, and less power consumption if you use the smaller light for early veg and clone and mother keeping purposes.
you should generally only use a high powered veg light if you plan to veg longer than 4 weeks to make monster plants.
and by this I mean, someone who does high power veg, will still use T5 or other low power veg light for the cloning and first 3-4 weeks then when the plant(s) get big they start feeding them the 1000w.

thanks for posting. yea i agree mcbewgrbawlz. i am going to buy some t5's ho in a week or 2. I have one right now but it's not enough to light all my plants. i will pick up 3 more t5's. that should put me at 900w instead of 2k watts im using now. Today i feed them full str big bloom and 1/2 str grow big. some of my plants are really green so i felt i didn't need anymore nitrogen. using Fox farms trio pack ( i should have gotten A &B instead bu t ill just wait till i run out)

1 more week and im flipping the lights to 12/12. can't wait.

keep it up you're a natural. keep watching those plants for what they need most people aren't good at that.

just wanted to update some pictures. 2nd day of 12/12. they are about 18inch tall. when should i start trimming them from under? they seem very bushy. at the rate they are going im scared i wont have any room for them to grow. any suggestions?

  7. You can start trimming from below if you'd like (lollipopping). If you're worried about height, you can probably train them down a bit using lst (or hst if you're into that, but I haven't had much luck with that in the past, seemes to take too much energy away from the plant for rehealing)

    Those are really gorgeous.

  8. Thanks for posting. i will update pictures tonight once lights turn on.

Top and lollipop them. Thin em out, flip the lights. Thin after the stretch.

    1. Extra Ca, P, and K on day one of the flip.
    2. Boost K and Sulfur week 6 (of an assumed 8-9 week hybrid) - Flush Week 7
    3. Dial your room in...learn about VPD and implement it, I'm sure your temps are too high
    4. Where's your co2?
    5. Stop watering so much

  11. I water every 24 to 36hrs or until they start limping. Highest temp is 82f lowest 72f. High humidity 55 low 40. They've been on 12/12 lights since 7th.

  12. NEED HELP!  okay so im having humidity issues. im getting 44RH on top of my lamp and 57RH next to the base of the pots.<----- thats with running my dehumidify 6hrs/day while lights are on. now here is the problem. when i use the dehumidifier temps can go up as high as 90f. <-- to counter that i have to run my HVAC fan to bring temps down to 82F. now i can just run my dehumidifier 24/7 to achieve 40 RH but then i would have to run my HVAC fan 24/7. Also i live in California and it's barely spring. temps are about 74F right now. It will go up very fast in may. I do plan on using my A/C during summer but temps are very cool outside right now so i feel i shouldn't have to. My hoods are air cooled by 6in fans exhausted to my ceiling. at my ceiling i have my carbon filter with a 440 cfm fan and that hot air is exiting out my roof. my fans are on high.
I have run off tables and its collected in very large containers. usually i have about 5 to 7 gallons of water sitting in containers after 3 days. i remove the water every 3 to 4 days.

-Want to keep RH at 40 im about 2 weeks into flowering but cannot achieve without dehumidifier.
    - temps are 82f without  dehumidifier. with dehumidier gets up to 90f. have to use HVAC house fan to lower temps to 82f again. ( do not want to waste wattage or else i would just buy more lights and get more weed)
    - have 5 to 7gallons of collected water sitting in my room from 3-4 days of runoff. I remove water on 4th day ( not sure if this is the problem)

    please help.

  13. here are some pictures  from today. i ordered some pk 13/14 from canna, will arrive by thursday. i noticed some plats are budding faster then others.

  14. why do my plants keep growing? they are inches shy of 5 feet and my ceiling is only 8ft tall with t he lamp being about 1 foot. i started 12/12 or flowering at 18ich. its almost 3 weeks since 12/12 i really hope they stop growing  upwards. i have some leaves that are literally 3 inches away from the lamp.... they haven't got burnt but somewhere i read that bud shouldn't be too close to light. any suggestions on how to keep plats shorter on the next grow?

  15. while watering my plants today i found out one of my girlscoutcookies plant had some pollen sacs. There was about 4-5 balls hanging togather. and 2 were already open. When i removed the sacs some pollen fell out. it was really big already and had tons of bud sprouting everywhere. i had to chop her down and throw her away.
i inspected the rest of my plants and didn't find anymore sacs anywhere.

I really hope it doesn't affect my whole crop.

  16. hey guys i want to follow up with some pics. So far everything is going well just a few heat problems that im trying to solve right now. 3rd day of canna 13/14. day 25 of flower.

  19. Rofl you have grown for 2 months and you are bad mouthing breeders??????? Please tell me where your opinions on Cali Connection come from since you've grown all of about 5 minutes 😄

  20. You probably shouldn't be growing in coco either bro, you're a NOOB stick to soil, you're gonna kill your plants or have shitty yields. Bet you don't know shit about what you're doing in coco, just mixing nutes and praying
