Megadeth - Tornado of Souls - Marty Friedman's mastery of shredding David Gilmour - The Blue - Beautiful dreamy sound Grave - Last Journey - Fucking haunting and dismal as shit! Jimi Hendrix - Power To Love - Straightforward rock! Marty Friedman - Valley of Eternity - Exotic, unique, beautiful and emotional Grateful Dead - Candyman - Super chill, gets me lifted just listening to it
1. Comfortably Numb outro solo 2. Another Brick in the Wall part 2 solo (David Gilmour is my all time favorite) 3. Hotel California Solo 4. Stairway to Heaven Solo the basics. really got into these solos when i got serious about guitar. its been 8 years playing now, and my beautiful Gibson Les Paul is my baby.
Oh wow, too many to list, but the ones that come to mind include My Old School by Steely Dan, Hot For Teacher by Van Halen, and anything by Montgomery or Benson.
I really like playing the intro solo to Eric Clapton's Layla. Sounds really nice on a steel string acoustic. And Santeria by Sublime has a cool funky sounding solo.
