Dosage for edibles?

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Indicade, Feb 28, 2015.

  1. So i have 15 edibles that are 10 mg each, but i'm wondering how many i should eat? I smoke once a day pretty much everyday so that should give you an idea about my tolerance. Should I eat about 5 to get a nice high going?

  2. Just start eating and see how u feel and go from there. I'm sure u heard how easy it is to end up eating too much and throw up so just be careful take it slow. If u start to feel high after a few then stop and wait a few hours before eating some more. Edibles aren't meant to be eaten all at once just eat some periodically thru the day

  3. Eat one, wait AT LEAST an hour, and judge how many you should eat from there.

  4. 10mg is not that much. I would recommend trying 5 at a time, then wait a little over an hour, take another 5 if you feel like it. Enjoy :)

  5. Eat 3, wait TWO hours, depends on metabolism. If you're not high after 2 hours then eat another 3 etc etc :)

  6. Be careful. I toke a few times a week, and have been taking 5mg in a hard candy at night to help with sleep. That's just enough to relax. I've taken 10mg which provides a buzz, and 20mg which is where I started feeling sketchy.

A minor overdose is uncomfortable, a big one is pure misery.

  7. Alright thanks guys. I think I'll just try 2 or 3 at once and see how I feel from there

  8. Ive had bad experiences eating too much it hits you super hard

  9. Edibles are excellent. I'd say start with a 10 to 20mg dose and go from there.

I recently tried edibles for the first time. I agree that it's best to start slow with one's first edible experience, just to be safe, and then go from there. I also read some research indicating that edible dosages can vary widely, or in other words, can be quite different than what's listed on the package. Therefore, to be careful, one should also take it slow when trying new edibles, even if one has prior experience with other edibles.
