Bonsai happenstance

    While prepping the veggie garden for the coming spring I came across a seeding sprout.

    It was from one of thoes "helicopter" spinners from a maple tree so I collected it and carefully planted it and threw it into my veg box!

    And so now my bonsai journey begins :)

    Had a Red Oak sprout in a planter I brought into my garden from outside. [​IMG]
     
    I moved it to a different planter and it seems to be doing fine.. Just REALLY slow growing..
     
    Been thinking about starting a Japanese Maple from seed.. Im liking having an actual tree in my growroom..
     
    Ill follow along and see how this works out

    I started germination on some Colorado Blues 3 weeks in the freezer then start the bonsai!

    My maple bonsai died from neighbor kids :\
    OP hasn't updated in a few months either.
