I too think he could have had a positive impact. My problem was/is at this point people feel very suppressed and are looking for a messiah. Its always scary when people deify a person in a position of 'authority' and create a cult of personality. Having said that, he still would have been better than the puppet of the elites.

The president has almost no power. Ron Paul would basically only be able to pull the military out of war zones and veto Congress for 4 years... Even if he won I doubt there would be much change. More like a 4-8 year delay on the inevitable For real change wwe would need to reelect most of Congress with ron Paul's, get them in the supreme court, and then president. -yuri

If i remember correctly he does not support abortion but also does not think the government has the right to decide... at least not on a federal level.
I believe that he thinks that if enough people in a state want to make abortion illegal, they should be allowed to do it.
