Are you friends with your dealer?

  1. My dealer wants to hang out with me. But I don't wanna hang out with him. Not because he's not a nice guy or that I don't like him, he's alright. Just, we don't have a lot in common and he's very talkative and social and I'm a huge introvert/recluse with a very small yet incredibly satisfying selection of friends. I get large amounts now so I don't have to see him too often, and when I do, he always says something like "we should hang out more", while I just wanna catch up for a bit, buy, and leave. I don't know, anyone hang out with their dealer?

  2. The guy I currently buy from is just a massive pothead buddy I've got that I've known for many years. Other dealers it's more of a business transaction, although I with usually hang out for a bit unless I'm in a hurry.

If you don't want to hang with him you don't have to I guess. Reminds me of Pineapple Express lol

  3. I've had dozens of connects over the years. Some were aquaintances through friends, some were my friends, and some were even family members.

But I get you, a few of those acquaintances that I used to get bud from would be a little weird to just to hang out with. Not because their weird or bad people, you just don't really know them like that. It's one thing to buy herb off someone, but to hangout with them is a different story.

  4. Sort off,but im well aware he is a selfish, childish prick. Nah changed my mind NO he isnt a friend lol

  5. I hang out with one of my dealers. I discovered, while at her place buying weed, that she has a very similar interest in books to me. Then she insisted that I borrow some of her books to read, which I happily accepted. She also plays guitar, so sometimes when I drop by her place for a deal, I hang around and entertain her other customers with some tunes that I play on her guitar :p. This is the only dealer I've ever hung out with.

My other dealers are just too different to me. Then there are those dealers who I suspect are criminals (in ways other than just selling weed) and I keep my distance from them to avoid any possible trouble.

  6. How can yo be friend with someone who sells you a weed? Friends dont sell weed they share

  7. Course you can

  8. Lol the person trying to avoid criminals while partaking in an illegal activity. My south jersey connect and the one I used before I got my medical card were both good friends for years before they started selling pot. Met both on world of Warcraft too haha

^ to someonelse, it's a business, do you expect mechanics you're friends with to fix your car for free or a massive discount? (just an example) they can just tell you to get lost and wait a little bit longer so they make more money and that's fair to me.

  9. Yea I'm friends with mine he is a bit older then me, met him threw culinary school. When meet we talk n chill or ride around. I know he had went to prison and he became a racist because when in prison u gotta gt with ya own and do things that could be against your character. He gt the tatts n shit bt wen he gt out he was cool and I think tried to cover some things up. I'm a black dude and just the fact we keep in contact, talk bout cooking, and see how the everyday life is going is just a good feeling.

  10. My dudes are all my friends. They're never reliable and price varies based on what they get charged for their bud, but I get free 'samples' here and there in turn for organic composting matter, veggie seeds, and other stuff.

  11. kinda, but not really. like, we're cool and I completely trust the guy, but the closest to 'hanging out' we've ever come is smoking a blunt, tking some dabs, or sharing a bowl. maybe kick it and watch TV or a movie for an hour or so tops. usually he's by or I'm there for 10-15 minutes. one of my 'secondary' dealers is actually a good friend of mine who uses the same hookup as me, just picks up much larger quantities than I do. so he usually has the same stuff as my guy, though with slightly less variety and for slightly more expensive prices. but he is definitely my friend, we hang out pretty often, and not in a buyer/dealer sense.

there was this one guy I knew who grew, I met him as a dealer but we started hanging out occasionally. dude lived really far away so it was kinda difficult to find the time to make it out there outside of business dealings, but we'd kick it and get hammered and go to water parks and shit like that sometimes. it was fun. well a friend of mine was making some BHO for retail to dispensaries, and we were picking up larfy stuff from this guy to run it with. he gave us a lot of bud for free, in addition to what we bought, so that we would give him some product afterwards.

so my friend drops off some to him, I don't remember quantity but it was about the price of $25/g. the grower sees it and starts bitching saying we ripped him off, he should be getting at least twice as much and for us to profit off him like that after his generosity was scummy. we're like dude, you didn't pay for the butane (in the hundreds of dollars worth), or for that matter any of the other supplies associated with producing this...plus we didn't need the extra you WANTED to give us it.

anyway, the next time we were there getting bud he was being such a little bitch man child about it all, saying stuff like 'you guys aren't my friends anymore' 'you guys were never my friends just customers' etc. all was a bit hypocritical considering he had no issue profiting off us every single time we went there (which I completely support him doing, by the way). dude was cool but insanely entitled

  12. absolutely ! he's one of the raddest guys i've met, super smart and has a lot of great things to say.

  13. Yes...I count him amongst my three friends too many.

Because dealers are people too? My dealer is actually a really close friend of mine, we smoke together sometimes, but when I need my own weed I pay. That doesn't mean we can't be friends.

  15. Depends for me. I rotate weed and am constantly looking for a diamond in the rough. If the guy is passionate about growing weed, then yeah I'll be friends with my dealer. But if it's some guy just stacking money, nah he doesn't want my company. It's a business to them and they get antsy.

    Wow I'm high.

  16. I've been friends with my dealer for at least four years before he got into big-time dealing. Back before he dealt in the herb he was a "good kid" with straight A's and never did anything wrong, but then he met my friend Matt, who "ruined" him. From then on he knew the lifestyle weed bestows was for him.
Being a friend, he always hooks me up with whatever upper-tier dank he has at the moment, always throwing a little extra in even after giving me a hell of a deal. He's a great guy.

  17. I have dealers that are good friends and i have dealers that i buy weed from and fuck off without exchanging small talk.

I dont choose who i hang out with based on what they do for a living, friends are friends.

  18. So he's racist but still hangs out with you? I don't think he knows what racism is haha

  19. I said he WAS when he was in prison to survive. He had some questionable tatts to bt since he been out covered them up. I'm pretty much saying I'm glad he isn't stuck with the same mentality he had in out. You get now bud.
