I know there is no beauty thread but I have natural ash brown hair but I dye it black , I've been letting it grow out and now I'm dying it this color I can't wait . Btw I'm lightening it before I put this red on. *Follow your heart , load the bong , spread the joy because life is short . Don't judge just love*

Old tread but autumn has come and red hear looks naturally I like wear red, orange, burgundy tones in the autumn I often use henna for for that purpose. I get a lovely auburn colour which means that the dark brown shines through as it coats the hair but in the sun it is an incredible red colour .
+++ I"ve remembered. One time I've tried dying brown over the red, and it made zero difference...I wanted to go to bright red the brown didn't affect the colour of my hair at all, it was as vivid a red as ever. I read somewhere that red dye pigment prevents other dyes from sticking. So the red has to be removed first, then another dye can be put on the hair.
Wow! Nice color. I've been thinking of doing omber with this color. I tried it with burgundy, but it did not come out that well. I've black hair, and I guess this is the color that would look the best.
