Hey guys, I have another thread about the design of the box/tent but I initially opted with a box but later settled on a tent. I figured with all the research I've done, I might as well start my journal and get 'er done. Here's what I have decided on so far... (let me know what I'm missing por favor). I plan on using all autos for seeds. originally wanted to do hydro but now going soil so I'ma go with: this tent: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lighthouse-Hydro-Mylar-Hydroponic-Grow-Tents-Reflective-Growing-Room-/281167492750?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item4176e3768e there's a youtube video as well in that link above showing all the aspects of the tent, if anyone's interested these t5 lighting setups (I'm going to use 3 2ftx2's and have one 2x2 hanging on top and one 2x2 hanging by its side on each side wall) http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-4ft-T5-Grow-Light-2-4-6-8-Hydroponic-Fluorescent-Tube-Lamp-Remote-Control-Opt-/380799248600?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item58a96768d8 I also got two e26 adapter cords to hang 2 42w cfls; one on each side of the top hanging 2x2 so (2,000 x 6) + (2,800 x 2) = 17,200 lumens or 228W this carbon scrubber air filter & inline duct fan http://www.ebay.com/itm/171161521595?var=470300875765 ordered 5 2 gal smartpots, will be using 4 (poss. 5) for a total of (hopefully) 4-5 plants http://www.ebay.com/itm/321672727607?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=510576029127&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I will use these to suspend the t5 lighting and move it easily as the plants grow http://www.ebay.com/itm/131299611994?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I've ordered ph testers and some ph up/down for good measure tds (ppm) tester http://www.ebay.com/itm/321590075246?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I also got a humidity monitor/air thermostat in one http://www.ebay.com/itm/360842249005?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT 45x loupe for checking trichome activity http://www.ebay.com/itm/321590075246?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I've ordered a 5 pack of Pyramid's New York City and a 5 pack of Pyramind's White Widow cost so far: $550 soil mix & nutrient feedings: FFOF with 40-50% perlite; FF Grow Big nutes at 2 weeks, FF Tiger Bloom nutes at desired height (past first sex sighting), flush last two weeks of flowering w/ reg water good start to finish AF in soil guide with FFOF: http://www.420magazine.com/forums/auto-flowering/125208-bongtastic-s-beginner-s-guide-autoflowering-cannabis.html general things I will pick up at the store at some point: 1. 2 - 24 hr timers (i believe one for lights and one for fans?) 2. 1-2 small clip-on fans for inside (target baby!) 3. zipties for cords 4. some sort of string to tie branches for LST 5. fox farms ocean forest and pearlite 6. variable control for fan (possibly; will have to see how loud it is and humidity issues) 7. cvs heatmat? 8. foil tape at home depot light schedule: 20/4 for light on timer 2 6500k on top and 2 6500k on each side lamp + 2 2700k CFLs switch after to bloom for = 4 2700k, 2 6500k + 2 2700k CFLS techs involved?: LST advice on germination: https://www.autoflower.net/forums/f44/germination-straight-into-soil-17878.html http://www.dutch-headshop.com/en/germinating-cannabis-seeds-a-30.html?categories_id=88 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOSA9eCCZRw advice on watering: http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/825914-autoflower-water-schedule.html https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=241821 http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/816359-auto-flowering-fox-farm-nutrients.html/page-2
thanks man, ppm is to test the nutrients right? any suggestions on where to get those testers at? update: just ordered the tent and carbon filter / fan combo, will update with pics once it arrives
Yep PPM meter is for testing nutrient strength. I picked mine up at Amazon, they have all ranges of prices and you can pick them up pretty cheap if cash is tight. Looking forward to seeing it all come together for ya!
Subbed up, shout if need any advice. Did a fair few grows last year, white widow being my first grow.
