Cannabis Oil made from Trim?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by drummerben04, Feb 26, 2015.

  1. I'm looking for cannabis oil to cure my staph skin infection and I've learned cannabis is an effective treatment for killing MRSA and other bacteria infections. The only cannabis oil I can obtain at the moment is made from trim. How less effective would that be vs. cannabis oil made from just the buds. Would it even work? This would not be low quality either, know the grower. Thanks!

If it's been processed correctly, it's the same stuff.

In Colorado dispensaries, that's where most of it comes from. They sell the nice bud, and process the trim into hash or oil.

  3. If you are interested in extracting your own cannabis oil, we're developing an appliance here in Longmont, Colorado that is basically a "kitchen appliance" that will extract essential oils from virtually any plant-based materials using ethanol/grain alcohol...
    Here's the website: http://www.extractcraft.com/

  4. There's nothing wrong with trim run oil, as long as it's fairly fresh and the extract artist knows what they are doing. To put it simply, there are certainly benefits to nug run concentrates as far as taste and effect, but a decent bit of trim should be more than adequate for what you need. It sounds like you know the exact source, so take the following into consideration: how old the trim is, whether it is fine trim or water leaves, what sort of extract process is being used?
