Alright guys, update coming here in a few. But until then, here is a little test i am doing. Ive been wanting to give soil a try but never really had anything to spare for a test grow. Well i had originally taken 4 clones of the ww and was going to have to toss 3 of them. So i decided to go ahead and get a pot and soil. Put the best looking of the 3 clones i had and planted her. So here is an addition to the veg room.
Looking good. Just seen 2 of the 4 beans in germing cracked and have tap tails now. Will be getting ready to have a pineapple chunk and a special queen #1 Still waiting on the thc bomb and bcn diesel to pop.
Nice! Glad to hear youve had atleast a 50% germ rate. Hopefully the other two will pop soon. I know kevieboy had problems with all of his thc bombs germing except 1 i think. But hopefully this is a different batch.
Alright update time.. better late than never lol. So the tent is day 8 and doing well. Though i am going to have to up the ppm again. Thry have already dropped from 417-354. Come to find out my ph meter wasnt correctly calibrated so the ph is actually at a 5.8. The veg area is doing well also. The dwc clone was at a 170 ppm this morning but is now at 163. Ph is at a 6.2. The roots on thia though have really exploded and she has already recovered from the topping a bit. She has started on a little top growth. Soil. It appears that i over watered it a little bit. She has a bit of droppy leaves. Figured id do it hahaha. But i know she will be fine and start growing here shortly. So far ive learned it really is easy to over water in soil lol.. Time for pics. So i had decided to to a little something today. I took the plant and screen out of the tent as a whole and rotated her 180 degrees. So now the back is in the front and front in the back. On the other hand though everything is going great. She is just a hungry girl. I need to up the ppm a bit but add less n and more k on the top up. Havent really messed with the veg area today. Ill update on that in a little while or tomorrow. Until this here is a few of there tent.
Alright update time... Today is day 10 of 12/12 for the tent. I added a gallon of full strength nutes nutes bringing the ppm up from 316-460. Ph is at 5.9. Over the past 10 days she has grown about 6 inches +/-. Pistols are starting to show everywhere so the fun part should start here soon The veg are is doing great as well. It seems the dwc clone is at her sweet point. Her ppms keep jumping around between 163 and 170 while the ph is flunctuating between 5.9 and 6.2. The roots are really exploding in size. I figure here in about a week or two ill top the side branches on her so i can start bushing her out. The soil clone seems to be ok. Hopefully she will show me some sign she is ok here in a few days. On a side note though. Night temps in the tent have been good and the humidty is at a great spot. And from what herbies says i should have my beans between today and wednesday. And pic time. Day 11 for the tent. Ppm dropped from 460 down to 392. Ph is going between 5.9 and 6.2. Everyday im noticing more and more pistols popping out. For the veg things are still chugging along. Ph 6.2 ppm 162. The soil got a little water today. Next time will be a light feed. And heres how they are looking. Flower: Veg: Dwc Soil
about 2 more weeks and she should start forming some buds She already smells lovely. Very strong already. Turned my filter off for about an hour and she had my place smelling great.
Ok so for todays chores I wanted to clean up under the screen. For 1. there were dead leaves needed to go. 2. I needed better air circulation down there. 3. I didnt wantany chance of mold building up inder there. Of course i forgot to take a before picture (stoner mind lol) But here she is after. And here is the pile of stuff i cut off.
I do still have some more to cut off but i am going to give her a few days to heal from what all i just did.
No update today as im not feeling the best. I had checked on the girls earlier and they were completely fine. The flower tent may be stressed a little bit but she looks completely fine. Tomorrow morning will tell me for sure though.
Alright so its been 24hr since i trimmed the flowering lady up. Since them the ppm has rose and the ph has dropped. Though sge ia still taking up water. Ive adjusted the ph back up to 5.9 and dropped the ppm down to 304. Seems i shocked the shit put of her. Im hopeful that i havent cause her to hermi, but only time will tell. On the other hand, she smells amazing. Its a nice sweet smell. The leaves are showing no signs of problems yet. Definitely a huge difference between growing in poor ventilation and almost perfect conditions. For the vegging ladies. The dwc has recovered well from the topping and started to grow 2 tops. Ive alao started to train her a bit. Ive bent her over and once her side shoots and new tops are big enough ill be topping each one as I'm Trying to make a bush. The soil lady is doing pretty well. She seems to have gotten her roots set in a bit and started to grow above ground, not much though. Flower Veg Dwc Soil
After a couple hours of sitting, ph has corrected to 6.0 and ppm has dropped to 294. Seems she has started coming around and taking nutrients up again. Im going to keep her like this for about 24 hours and see how she does with it. After that ill start trying to raise the ppm by 100 a day until i hit her sweet spot.
So the dwc clone is already facing the light and loving life. I forgot to mention earlier that i switched the two 23w bulbs out that were directly over her with 2 65w bulbs.. i didnt feel that the 23w were enough light.
Cool journal man, it sounds like the flowering plant is getting over that initial shock. I have never noticed this with mine but I don't always check the ppm every day so I may have just missed it. It looks awesome anyway. The ppm is surprisingly low to me, but the plant obviously wants it that way. It looks healthy as hell
thank you for your time and input man. I greatly appreciate it! I agree that she should be on a higher ppm. What im going to do is change out my rez later on and refresh everything. Hopefully a fresh solution will stabilize everything and she will start her usual uptake again.
thanks man!! Im proud of it. This is by far the best one ive grown so far. Update. The flower girl got a res change a bit ago. She has been acting a bit funny here recently so i just decided it best to give her some fresh solution. Her new ppm is now 640 ph 6.1. I am going to check on her in the morning and see if she has started acting better. If not ill drop the ppm again till i find her right spot. The veging ladies are doing great still. I didnt have the time to get a picture of them tonight but ill get one up when i can. But here is how the flowering lady is doing.
Alright, so i woke up this morning and the ppm had dropped from 640-570. 6 hours later the ppm had dropped to 541. I guess a fresh solution was all she wanted.. ill give her a day or two more then I'll up the ppm more... doing a res change on the veg girl today. So later on ill be back with a full up date...
