Making Oil in 4 hours QUESTION

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by sgtjones12, Feb 25, 2015.

  1. Hey i going to use a crock pot to make canna oil and I have like 5 grams OG Kush and I plan to make a small pan of brownies if i grind these up and put them in the crock pot stirring regularly can i make the oil in 4 hours?

My crock pot has , low , medium and high temperature settings.

  2. There is a little more to it than that if you want the best results. I recommend you read the "sticky" recipe threads with careful attention to detail. I personally like the BadKat method, it's given me excellent results.

In my opinion, the most important step missing from your recipe is that you should decarb your herb before you add it to your oil.

Why are you in such a hurry? Baking comes out best when we are patient and take our time. My concern with using a crock pot if you are in a really big hurry is that a crock pot takes a while to heat up. It might be faster to do it on the stovetop.

  3. I agree with puddleglum.  Decarb the herb (google decarbing marijuana and you will find a chart on times/temps).  I think using the crockpot after decarbing should be ok, however.  Let us know how they turn out.
