  1. Please anyone I have never dealt with a hermaphrodite and I think I may have one here but I have nothing to compare with. These are pretty good shots I can get better if need be.

    Thanks gc community

  2. It's hard to tell from the pic's whether that's a nanner or not.  I've seen "bleached" growth from time to time on the colas of some of my plants in the past.

Some canna' plants (especially those containing strong sativa genetics) will naturally produce nanners late in flower as a self preservation mechanism.  They usually don't produce a slew of them.

It would be my suggestion to pluck that growth from the plant with some tweezers and look out for new ones up till harvest.

Even so, this late in the grow any pollen produced will not develop into viable seed if pollination does occur.  If you have younger plants in your flowering space that are going to take longer to finish (4-6 weeks or more) then it might be an issue.  If pollenated, mature seeds from your younger plants will most likely be feminized with low probability that a lot of them will turn out herm's.

  3. Not hard to tell at all that's a hermie buddy, that can seriously fuck up your crop I don't how many your growing or what your situation is but he/she needs to go. If it was the only plant you were growing I would say you can try to manage aka going in with tweezers every chance you get and search and pluck gently. Pollen is very small and doesn't take many of those to open and pollinate everything that's why it's important if you do have others to get it out of there right away, those things mature and open rapidly could see a yellow-orangish banana tonight and have it fully opened and pollen released by morning.

  4. Stress balls. You stressed her, she be panicking and decided pollination had to happen. That looks like bad genes to me if you couldn't even harvest without stress nanners. I've had a couple plants produce variable amounts of nanners after being stressed. It's all genetic. Some only get a couple, some get full of them.

  5. All together she had 4 and I went through her with a fine tooth comb lol I wonder how I stressed her... I gave her water only for a week. And cut the huge fan leaves out that probably did it.

  8. Bahahah good answer.
A lot of people on here can't take a joke

  9. If you aren't joking and laughing your not living

  10. check ur run off, looks to me like the soil is to high in salt content.....just my two cents

  11. I plucked all male flowers that I saw flushed it twice and it hasn't shown anymore nanners since then

  12. I'd chop that whole branch off and eat it in front of the other plants. Show them who's boss.

  13. Remember that part in jurassic park where they say nature finds a way!?

    They meant hermies lol

Just because a female plant produces a few stray "nanners" doesnt really mean that its a true hermaphrodite. There is a difference between a plant shooting out those few pesky nenners and an actual "Hermie". I got them confused myself for a long time until I actually saw the difference. Check out these examples - they are showing actual male and female flowers - a "true hermie".

  15. Yes I have seen both types of hermies just because you only see a banana once in a while doesn't mean it's not a hermie and if you were to follow that naner in where it came from most of the time you will find that pod. Have you looked inside those banana's before, if so you can see all the pollen they carry and you know how much that could fuck up a crop? No hermie whether it's a couple bananas here or there or pods growing all over buds either one doesn't make it in my garden...I have no tolerance for something that can ruin a crop. Like I said if you only have 1-2 go ahead take you time and go banana picking on a daily but you better get them all otherwise SEED's!!!
