Vaping in car?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by TheFacter, Feb 23, 2015.

  1. I just ordered a Magic Flight Launch Box, which will be my first piece. I've smoked with friends plenty of times, but I'm really excited to finally be able to get stoned whenever I want. However, I'm having trouble thinking of places I can vape. I live in an on-campus dorm and definitely don't want to vape in there. I live in downtown so if I just "go outside for a walk" I'll be surrounded by people. So it looks like I might have to vape in my car. From what I can tell, the MFLB doesn't have a ton of smell and I ordered a smokebuddy sploof as well.

Will this combo (vape+smokebuddy) be enough so that my car won't smell like weed? Additionally, what are your thoughts about vaping in the car? Is it safer (from cops) to drive around a neighborhood or park in like a Walmart parking lot and vape?

    Any input's appreciated.

  2. The smell from vaping doesn't smell the same as smoking so other than your actual product, it'll be hard for anyone to know you vaped in your room/car.
I have the mflb it's awesome! The smell is really minimal, imo it smells a bit like popcorn.
I think once you get the mflb and use it you'll see that it's really inconspicuous looking (as compared to the ever popular vape pens, it's a wooden box with a battery essentially) and doesn't smell too much. Again I think you'll have more difficulty with the smell of your bud then the smell from the mflb

  3. The point of a vape is to smoke anywhere
    So do it anywhere

  4. If you're going to vape in your car, do it cautiously. Vapes smell less than smoking, however it's not completely odorless. You've still got weed out exposed to the general atmosphere of the space you're occupying, and the smell of buds themselves are more identifiable as weed than the smell of burnt weed anyway. If you're on the move, or in a residence yeah, it's easy to air out and it doesn't smell that much. But in your car, if you get pulled over by surprise, in close quarters like that, I'd be concerned. So don't think if you get pulled over that there's no chance a cop won't smell anything. That would be a mistake. If you're gonna do it, have a cover smell.

As far as moving or parked, well it's a toss up. If you're moving, you can be pulled over for a moving violation and that's a risk (no one drives 100% perfect all the time). At the same time parked, well if a cop happens to pass by, and it's an odd time of night or you seem out of place, hey they might wonder just what you're up to. It's a trade off, but I was always partial to not smoking wile driving for many reasons. If nothing else, a DWI will do nothing spectacular for your future.

  5. You don't need a smoke buddy I can use my mflb right under my parents noses and they wouldn't know.

  6. It'll only smell if you're taking "big" vape hits in a short amount of time & not holding them. But honestly you gotta try pretty damn hard to make it smell with one

  7. Never drive with anything you can't eat or shove up an ass. I like my freedom thanks.

  8. Toking or vaping in a car is NOT a good idea.
I Know, I know we've all done it but God alone knows how many people I have known who got busted while using Cannabis in a car.

  9. Not to mention driving around stoned isn't very smart. I know sometimes you can be in that zone, but it doesn't take much to over do it and get to the point to where you shouldn't be driving.... Not only are you putting yourself and anybody in the car with you in danger at the point, but anybody else out there really.

the thought that a vape doesn't smell at all is false

vape smells, it's just not as distinct as actual weed smoke, but it still smells like weed

of course, if you hold in every hit till there's no vapor left when you exhale, then it doesn't really smell. my friend did this in the front row of class in high school once, i laughed my ass off, he like turned around, smiled at me, took a hit, held it for like 2 minutes, and then exhaled it into his sleeve (although I doubt there was any vapor left by that point)

so yeah, if you want to hold in every hit for like 2 minutes, then vape is pretty smell-proof, but i have a silver surfer (desktop vape) that I use and you can get some FAT hits from it. therefore, unless you have iron lungs, good luck holding that shit in for more than like 30 seconds

i live in a dorm too, and i have to say, it's totally safe to vape in your room, just make sure to blow the vapor out the window with a sploof (toilet paper roll stuffed with bounce dryer sheets). i do this, and although it might smell up your room a tiny bit, the slight smell stays in your room (cannot be smelled from outside).

also, you mentioned you live in dt. even if you go for a walk, it's not like you're smoking a big fat joint. i would love to walk down the street and just hit magic fight box. it would be totally chill, and no one would have any idea what you were doing, since it would just look like you were kissing your fist hahaha.

  11. Yeah if I took any of my bud in a car, it wouldn't matter if it was being vaped or not. As soon as I opened my bag up in said car, said car would stink like weed. Any cop would smell it for a while, if it was still in car. Thus if your worried about being caught due to smell in a car, you prob just shouldn't be doing in the car.

Also give a shit about people in this world and don't just drive around getting stoned...... I could care less about you getting busted, but don't put the people around you in harm. You could be only a little stoned and golden to drive at one moment, and the next you could have taken that one hit that would of couch locked you, but now your sitting in a car driving it down the road....
