Colorado residents file federal lawsuits

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by translucentlylucid, Feb 21, 2015.

  1. Never gonna happen. The bill was passed by the people. Totally legal and I don't think the Feds would dare step in at this point with all the other states that have passed legalization and all the other states that will pass it soon.

  2. Why do business think that they have superiority over the will of the voters? Holiday Inn, can go fuck themselves. I have never liked their bed bug rooms and poor service across the board. The horse farmers can also go fuck themselves and move to Oklahoma so that they can be swept up by a tornado.

  3.
thts a pretty fucked up reason to move

  4.
It's pretty fucked up to go against the will of the voters in Colorado and wanting to still enforce a militant style towards cannabis and its users.

  5. We can only hope it doesn't happen. We can't trust the federal government. One there is a new president he or she could tell the attorney general to go ahead and enforce federal law. Just like that lawsuit against colorado says, the Feds overpower states. It would be easy for them to come in and shut everything down, they don't care about our lives.

  6. People will always try to fuck stuff up. Lets be real here, colorados marijuana industry has EXPLODED, good luck ever getting rid of it :p

  7. Why should these people have sway over the majority of Colorado voters?

  8. Because we live in the illusion that our voices actually mean something in this country.

Sent from a Pineapple under the Sea.

  9. They don't/won't. It is just wishful thinking for them. This is a perfect example of why capitalism is not the right system. It becomes oligarchy inside a generation. Shit gets fucked up fast. Fortunately in this situation in order to keep the illusion of democracy the Feds will not step in here.

  10. Judges will likely just dismiss these ridiculous lawsuits. Something cannot be in violation of R.I.C.O if they are following a law passed by the citizens. There will also be tremendous pressure from every state senator and rep, because this is bringing in a TON of tax money, they do not want to see it go away.

In the end the federal ban will be lifted and these stupid states will have to deal with it.

  11. Aren't they making millions from the taxes? Money talks in politics.

  12. Yes, what gets put in a politicians own personal wallet talks in congress. But what makes a state rich doesn't mean dick to them if it means they're gonna lose lobbyist money from not playing ball.

  13. Where does the money go?

  14. Tax money goes to maintaining infrastructure. Law makers don't get extra from that outside their salary. If we are talking about lobby money, it stops coming in when lawmakers stop doing what their corporate masters tell them.

Why would pharmaceutical companies keep giving congressmen money to keep up the prohibition farce if marijuana becomes legal and the companies start losing money?

  15. Why don't pharmaceutical companies just grow and sell their own that way they don't lose money?

  16. because it makes to much logical sense :lol:

  17. California prop 215 was amended by the governor.

Our rights were violated the moment access to medicine was restricted.

    Dispensaries were out right banned!

People are now dying because of it.

    Something to consider.

Dont assume the law practices common sense. It does not. Nor does justice exist in this country. Ask anyone wronged by the system.

    Have a j on me!

its up to YOU and OUR KIDS to fix this mess. Do not become your parents.

    Do not bend over.

    My two cents.

  18. Because people can go their own. And why go through a doctor when you can just go to the gas station?

But let's use a different example. The prison industry. They won't pay congress money if all the laws that fill their prisons with harmless people are overturned and they don't have that cash cow anymore.

  19. No it doesn't. You haven't thought that through at all.
