organic alternative

  1. Before I stock up on foxfarms grow big, is there an organic alternative that is ready made?

  2. Hi Rec. I think you'll find that this particular forum area contains more folks that like to make up batches of homemade soil mixes based on compost and worm castings - living organic blends that don't require the need for bottled store bought fertilizers.

IMO you'd be better off buying yourself a 5 pound bag of Epsoma Kelp Meal. You can mix some directly into your soil and also simply soak a handful into your watering can for a day before watering it in. The benefits can be big and I'm sure you'd enjoy using it.

    Good luck man.

  3. Everyone got their own proprietary mixes....its a major blast to create supersoil and watch your plants thrive. Once you're successful, you'll never stop.

  5. Understood... baby steps. I was thinking that there was a decent product readily available then take it from there.

  6. Look into Coast of Maine products if you have to buy premixed. But definitely look into making your own first.

    Solo.

Check out the beginner mix sticky. It is a winner. For about $120 at Agway, you get 10 cubic feet (10, 7 gallon pots) of soil that you never need to add anything to, and that you'll never need to buy again. Plant your rooted cutting/seedling, water with nothing but clean water, harvest when she's finished, cut out the rootball and replace with a new cutting/seedling. Only improves with age. Simply the best tasting cannabis on earth.
