hey im about to start my 2nd op. but I wanna do it indoors.does anyone have any good designs for a grow box made of plywood? looking for tips and ideas thanks.
The size of your growing chamber should depend on the equipment you are using. I would actually suggest building the frame out of 2x3's or 2x4's, then making the walls from drywall (gypsum board). Drywall is cheaper, easier to cut for vent holes, etc, and less likely to catch fire. Once the box is complete, line the inside with panda film to make it air tight (obviously aside from the air intake and exhaust). Another idea is to retrofit an old dresser or wardrobe. Aside from all the threads in here, try youtube for videos of grow room setups to get a good understanding of how you need to set everthing up.
I built a couple of grow cabinets over the years, but now a days it's hard to beat the price of grow tents if you consider all the materials involved in building cabinet.
Agreed with above. Cost of materials + time spent to plan and construct is far too much when i can get a 5x5x6 for $65 Ive built small stealth setups out of storage bins. Drill holes and rigged in PC fans for intake and exhaust, lined the top with CFL's
i built my baby box 2x2x3.5 from 2x2 and half inch ply wood and I like it this is the frame and I'll upload a finished pic of the box itself later
you can check my thread (there is plans and step by step) but as stated above for around the same cost you could buy a tent. IMO NEVER USE DRYWALL to build a grow room. There is alot of humidity and moisture and the smallest leak in your panda film leads to the corrosion of said drywall and the start of mold.
