Aeroponic seedlings - slow growth

  1. Hi guys, I used to grow about 4 or 5 years ago and I always used cuttings in an aeroponic cloner and had no problem in getting them to root.

However, I have recently taking up growing as a hobby again and have decided to use autoflowers as I have a very small space and I want regular crops, rather than waiting 3 to 4 months between crops, I have decided to start two plants in an aerocloner, then move them to a bigger aero unit and flower them, after 5 weeks I will start another two in the aerocloner within the same room which should grow with the ambient light.

Anyway, the problem I am having is that my seedlings are growing very slowly. I cracked my seeds in a paper towel, waited until the tap root was about 30mm long, and then placed them directly into an aero cloner in a neoprene collar (no rockwool)

At first the seeds shot up and started growing some nice roots. I thought it was working fantastically but after about 10 days the growth slowed.

When I grew with clones I always waited until having a very healthy root mass until I added nuits and didnt feel that the roots were big enough to add nuits, and I assumed that the seed would have enough energy to get the plant growing.

Here are some pics of my babies, the left hand one is 2 weeks old and the right hand one is 4 weeks old.

I have now added a small amount of nuits (about 1/4 strength)

    The temp range is 20 - 28
    humidity is 30% - 40%
    Ph is 6

Am i missing anything obvious or have I simply left it too long to add the nuits?

  2. They look healthy.  The growth will surge soon enough.

  3. I'd get the humidity up to around 60-70%.
